Classify the obstacle before spending a battery

The unofficial SN Database's original-game Aurora data lists damaged door panels, sealed doors and keypads as separate entries. In that dataset a Repair Tool opens damaged panels, while a Laser Cutter opens sealed doors. A keypad is neither of those jobs: identify its room and enter the relevant code. The list is source evidence from build 83031, not a fresh count of your save's accessible doors.

Do not treat an unresponsive door as proof you need one more tool. Some doors may be inaccessible from the side you found or lack a usable opening in the source dataset. Look for a nearby damaged panel, seal or keypad and read its prompt. If none matches, backtrack and investigate another visible path rather than assuming that every door has a code or can be cut.

Prepare the return before committing to the next room

This is a pre-trip checklist rather than a claimed safe route through the wreck. The cited equipment database lists the Radiation Suit, Helmet and Gloves together as a crafted set. After the Aurora's radiation hazard is present, check that all relevant protection is equipped and your HUD does not show an unresolved warning. A suit is not protection against every other hazard.

Carry the tools relevant to your objective and check their actual battery charge. A Fire Extinguisher addresses fire, not a locked keypad; the database lists extinguishers among Aurora pickups, but do not rely on finding one at an exact point. In Survival, budget food and water separately; Freedom changes those needs. Read the displayed mode and make your own exit decision rather than using a fixed number of items as a guarantee.

  1. Identify your installed game, mode and build; decide which specific door or information is the objective.
  2. Check radiation protection and, where needed, equip the full Suit, Helmet and Gloves. Carry charged Repair Tool and/or Laser Cutter for the obstacle you expect.
  3. Bring a usable Fire Extinguisher and confirm its remaining supply. Keep inventory space for an essential pickup rather than assuming you can carry everything.
  4. For any underwater approach or exit, identify a reachable air refill point and use the actual oxygen HUD; account for a changed return path.
  5. Before opening a deeper section, note the last recognizable exit and your remaining health, tool power and supplies. If the way back is unclear or a requirement fails, return and resupply.

Unlock the cutter separately from repairing a panel

Wikily's original-game item entry lists three Laser Cutter fragments for the blueprint. Check the Scanner's blueprint progress in the PDA and search appropriate wreck or seabed fragments; a visible fragment is a lead, not a promise that every wreck contains one. Do not count a biological scan as progress toward a tool blueprint.

Once unlocked, its listed Fabricator recipe is two Diamonds, one Battery, one Titanium and one Cave Sulfur. A separate Repair Tool does not replace the cutter at a sealed door. Conversely, a cutter is not the way to fix damaged door wiring. Compare the Fabricator recipe and tool charge on your own build before leaving.

Room-code reference — spoilers

If you want to discover codes naturally, read your PDA entries and radio messages first. Playdigious's official mobile support page lists Cargo Bay 3, Cabin 1, the Captain's Cabin, Robotics Bay and the Laboratory as locked doors requiring codes, and says the Captain's Cabin clue can arrive later. It does not publish a numeric table. The fan database's extracted door list includes only four keypads, so these two sources do not establish the same Robotics Bay door count; platform or build differences are not proven here.

The following four room/code associations come from SN Database's extracted original-game data and are spoilers. Treat the room name as part of the key: a correct number for a different keypad will not solve your current identification problem. SN Database reports an additional Robotics Bay code in PDA text but does not list a corresponding fifth keypad in its extracted door data; do not assume that text proves a usable fifth door in your installation.

  1. Read the keypad's room context and the installed game's own PDA before choosing a code.
  2. Enter only the matching four digits using your platform's prompt; do not try the Repair Tool on the keypad.
  3. If the code is rejected, verify the actual room, keypad, interaction and game version before assuming the table applies.
  4. If the Captain's information is unavailable and you prefer a spoiler-free run, continue normal play and check later messages rather than assuming the radio or door is broken.

Worked diagnosis: a repair tool cannot cut a seal

Illustrative scenario, not a recorded save: a player arrives with a charged Repair Tool, sees a sealed-door cutting prompt and has not unlocked the Laser Cutter. The Repair Tool's battery is not the missing ingredient; the prompt identifies a different obstacle. The actionable decision is to leave safely, scan enough cutter fragments and check the Fabricator recipe, then return with the cutter if the objective still matters.

Now change the observation: the object is a damaged door panel with a repair prompt, and the equipped Repair Tool has no charge. A Cutter and another room code do not solve that immediate power issue. Check its installed battery and the panel prompt first. In both examples, record the actual door state after one change; neither is evidence of an observed successful opening.

Leave a reproducible report if the prompt disagrees

Different releases and platform interfaces may show different control prompts. Record the installed version and platform, mode, room name if known, visible object type, equipped tool and charge, exact interaction message, and result before and after one change. A screenshot is useful only if it actually records your own game; this guide supplies none.

The database's four extracted keypad entries are a useful comparison set, not a substitute for your current save. If a door or code differs, preserve the evidence and check official support or the current game's PDA instead of forcing a risky return trip.

Before you play

  • Identify panel, seal, keypad or an inaccessible-looking door before choosing a response.
  • Confirm required tools, charge and radiation protection for the present hazard.
  • Use the installed PDA or a labelled room-specific code; keep the Robotics Bay source discrepancy visible.
  • Plan air, supplies and a return path appropriate to the selected mode.
  • Record actual prompt and outcome; never treat this source-based plan as a played test.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Repair Tool open every Aurora door?

No. The cited data separates damaged panels from sealed doors needing a Laser Cutter and keypad doors needing their matching codes.

Why is the Robotics Bay code not in the four-door table?

SN Database reports 6666 in PDA records but says its extracted build has only four keypad door entries. Playdigious's mobile support lists Robotics Bay among locked doors, so the sources differ. Neither establishes what is accessible in your specific version.

Is a Laser Cutter recipe available immediately?

The cited item entry lists three fragment scans to unlock its blueprint. Check your own PDA and Fabricator because builds and modes can differ.

Was this route tested in a GamerWin save?

No. It is a source-based obstacle decision guide and hypothetical cases, not a recorded Aurora trip or verified survival route.
