Palia Beasts Unburdened Unlock: Check All Four Friendship Level 5 Gates

The unlock chain, in order

The two updates describe consecutive gates. Patch 0.207 introduced each character's Friendship Level 5 quest and says the player's Level 4 quest for that villager must be completed first. Patch 0.208 then names the Beasts Unburdened Group Quest and requires Friendship Level 5 with all four characters.

Four-character preflight

A single missed villager can make the group-quest gate look inconsistent. Use the table below to check each friend separately, including the previous quest gate; do not infer readiness from story progress with only Sifuu or Hassian.

1. For Sifuu, record current friendship level and whether her Level 4 quest is complete.
2. Repeat the same check independently for Hassian, Taylin, and Ulfe.
3. If anyone is below Level 5, finish their remaining friendship progression and verify the bar/quest journal after the conversation; the article does not prescribe gifts or item counts.
4. If all four show Level 5 but Beasts Unburdened is absent, check the current quest log, story context and official patch notes before trying unrelated resets.

Do not confuse the prerequisite with an account or platform issue

The cited publisher notes define the friendship gate; they do not say a platform transfer, account relink, party invitation, or premium purchase is needed. Avoid buying items or changing account links solely because the quest marker has not appeared.

It does not publish a detailed step-by-step walkthrough or specify every possible reward trigger in the public note, so follow the live objective text rather than assuming the quest is complete as soon as the group gathers.

1. Accept the quest when it becomes available and read the objective text in the journal.
2. Follow each objective in order; if one step does not advance, note the character/location and exact displayed text before leaving the area.
