BTD6 Boss Events: Build a Plan Before Buying Towers

Make a six-line event card

Boss events can change the map, available towers and modifiers. A familiar boss name is not enough to identify the same challenge. Before placing anything, copy the conditions from the event screen into a short note.

The standard event structure introduces boss tiers at intervals beginning around round 40, but use the current event display for the actual rules. Ranked play can score time, tiers or cash, and restricts features such as powers. A route designed to minimize one score may be a poor beginner survival route.

1. Boss name and Normal or Elite.
2. Map, starting round and available cash.
3. Allowed hero and any banned towers/upgrades.
4. Health, speed or other displayed modifiers.
5. Ranked off/on and the actual scoring goal.
6. Your knowledge/power assumptions and intended first-tier damage plan.

Separate income, shell damage and cleanup

A boss preparation budget has three jobs. Income grows the later budget. Boss damage must remove the large target before its deadline. Cleanup must stop ordinary waves and anything released during the fight. Spending everything on any one of them can lose the run.

Before another income purchase, ask whether you can still afford the missing defense in time. Write down the upgrade you are saving for and its actual in-game price. Do not count a farm's future production as money already available. If selling is part of the plan, use the displayed sell value and check whether the boss or event changes that tradeoff.

For a first attempt, a smaller economy that reaches a clear first-tier defense is more informative than an ambitious economy that leaks before the boss. Once you can identify the defense margin, you can experiment with one additional income purchase.

Inspect the boss mechanic before copying a build

Use the in-game boss description to identify the special interaction. Ask whether your planned attack can target it, whether an immunity affects a tower category, and whether a mechanic punishes your usual support or selling routine. This guide does not claim that the same tower combination solves every boss.

A useful planning test is to explain the setup in one sentence: 'this part damages the boss, this part handles the ordinary rounds, and this is the response to the boss's special rule.' If you cannot identify the third part, read the boss description before spending a long time on the opening.

Boss Challenge is a separate practice option described in the community reference. Its availability and rules are not necessarily identical to the live event; use it to learn a mechanic, not to assume a practice result earns live-event rewards.

Use the first failure as a checkpoint

Note the remaining boss health, the round, the position on the track and whether the actual loss came from the boss or ordinary bloons. This is more useful than the final score screen alone.

Spend account currency deliberately

A restart may teach more than repeatedly buying a continue for an opening you do not understand. Before using a paid-in-currency checkpoint, identify the purchase or timing you will change. If there is no concrete change, you are paying to repeat the same experiment.

Save the event card and the revised plan after each attempt. If you later share it, label the exact event and whether it was completed. A theoretical setup should not be presented as a verified win. GamerWin has not completed a live-event run for this article.
