Use your own towers and prices
Round defense & budget check
Choose a milestone, then check only the capabilities your defense actually has. This is a planning checklist, not a damage simulator or a promise of a clear.
Selected standard milestones through round 80 only. The checks include earlier capabilities worth retaining, but do not list every threat or cover CHIMPS rounds 81–100. Reachable rounds depend on your mode or freeplay choice.
Use the prices shown in your game, including required earlier upgrades. The starting numbers are an illustrative budget, not a tower price. Enter 0 if no new purchase is planned. Future income and selling are not included.
Your round 40 plan
Breaking the shell and cleaning up its contents are separate jobs.
4 capabilities need a check- Camo detection
- Lead damage
- Blimp-shell damage
- Cleanup after the shell breaks
Budget shortfall: 350 cash. The planned purchase is not affordable from the cash entered.
Next action: Identify where you expect the shell to break. Keep a second stretch of covered track for cleanup rather than spending everything on anti-blimp damage.
Your answers stay in this page and reset on reload; they are not sent or saved. Round reference · Independent player notes. Tool rules revised September 12, 2026.
Understand the upgrade notation
A three-number label reads top path, middle path, bottom path. For example, 0-0-2 means two bottom-path upgrades and none on the other paths. Unlock and affordability depend on your account, difficulty and game rules, so use the tower's current upgrade panel rather than copying prices from another mode.
Start on a long map where the same tower can attack the track more than once. Place the initial defense near a bend or overlapping section, leave room for support, and watch a few rounds before expanding. This page is a problem-solving route: the table tells you which capability to buy, not a guarantee that one tower can solo every wave.

Build toward the next threat
Use the table to reserve money for the next missing capability. Do not add another damage tower automatically when the actual problem is that nothing can target the bloon. The round references below are for the standard round set.
| Before round | Threat | Capability to prove |
|---|---|---|
| 24 | First camo | Enhanced Eyesight (0-0-2 Dart Monkey) is one detection option. Put its range over a useful stretch of track; the upgrade does not grant lead damage. |
| 28 | First lead | A lead-capable attack, such as an available Bomb Shooter. Camo detection alone does not change damage type. |
| 40 | First MOAB | MOAB Mauler (0-3-0 Bomb Shooter) is an example of a shell-damage purchase, not a complete defense. Keep coverage for the bloons released when the shell breaks. |
| 59 | Camo lead | Camo detection must reach a lead-capable attack. A 0-2-0 Village with Radar Scanner is one support option; check its radius and retain cleanup for the remaining layers. |
| 63 | Dense ceramic groups | Repeated grouped damage or properly timed abilities; not only single-target blimp damage. |
| 80 | First ZOMG | A plan for the outer shell, smaller blimps and final cleanup. Observe which layer actually reaches the exit before deciding what to buy. |

Round 59 example: two separate answers can still leave a gap
Suppose your ordinary camo defense cannot damage lead, while your lead-capable attack has no camo detection. You own both capabilities, but the lead attack still cannot select a camo-lead target. The missing connection is between the attack and its detection, not necessarily another large damage upgrade.
Select the lead-capable tower. If using a Radar Scanner Village, inspect the Village's radius and the tower's support indicator. Move the planned support position before purchasing if the intended tower would sit outside it. Keep an answer for the layers released after the lead shell; a targeting fix is not a complete damage calculation.
In the tool, choose round 59 and mark the existing capabilities, but leave 'Camo and lead on the same defense' unchecked until that connection is real. The tool should flag that specific gap even if both separate boxes are checked. Read the full purchase cost in your game; do not spend money based on a price from a different mode.
- Name the tower expected to hit the camo lead; do not answer only with a list of tower names.
- Check that this attack can damage lead and receives camo detection along the required path segment.
- Add the required support and any prerequisite upgrade costs to your purchase budget.
- Keep ordinary cleanup, then observe the target interaction during the round. If it is attacked but still leaks, investigate damage and coverage next.

Three worked checks you can reproduce in the tool
These are verified examples of the website tool's logic, not gameplay test results. Cash values are illustrative inputs, not quoted tower prices. A capability checkbox records your judgment; it does not measure the tower's damage.
The budget calculation is max(planned cost minus available cash, 0). It deliberately excludes future income and selling. If you need another round of income, that is a separate survival decision—not money you can spend before pressing play.
| Inputs | Tool result | What the player should do |
|---|---|---|
| Round 59; mark all listed skills except combined camo/lead; 900 cash; planned cost 1,250 | Combined camo/lead gap; 350 cash shortfall | Check support coverage and find an affordable correction before relying on that purchase. |
| Round 40; mark camo, lead and shell damage, but not cleanup; 150 cash; planned cost 0 | Cleanup gap; planned cost covered; 150 cash remains | Identify what will stop the released bloons. Having enough money for no purchase does not make the defense complete. |
| Round 63; mark all listed skills; 2,000 cash; planned cost 1,500 | No unchecked listed skills; 500 cash remains | Still check actual coverage and repeated-rush timing. The result is not a predicted victory. |
Choose upgrades by role
The Dart Monkey's bottom-path Enhanced Eyesight is a useful lesson in buying a specific missing property. Later upgrades such as a crossbow serve a different role from a basic camo check. Inspect what the upgrade adds before committing the rest of the path.
Likewise, a MOAB-focused purchase is valuable against a blimp but does not excuse a weak defense against the bloons released when it breaks. Before round 40, ask two questions: 'what breaks the shell?' and 'what cleans up the contents?' If your whole budget answers only the first, the round can still fail.
For a first learning run, favor one coherent damage setup plus the missing support over many partly upgraded towers scattered around the map. This is spending discipline, not a claim that a particular crosspath is optimal on the current patch.

Diagnose the loss before rebuilding
Record what crossed the exit. The last thing on screen can identify a different weakness from the round's headline threat. If the MOAB broke early but ceramics leaked, more anti-MOAB damage may repeat the same loss.
| Failure | Likely question | Next experiment |
|---|---|---|
| Bloons pass without being attacked | Can the nearby towers detect this property? | Add the missing detection and repeat. |
| Attacks hit but do nothing | Is the bloon immune to that damage type? | Inspect lead/purple or other relevant interaction before spending. |
| MOAB breaks but its contents leak | Is cleanup coverage positioned after the break point? | Improve grouped cleanup or change placement. |
| One big group wins; next group leaks | Did the defense rely on a single cooldown? | Add sustained damage or reserve a separate ability. |
| Money was available but unused | Was the next purchase decided too late? | Write a shopping checkpoint before starting the wave. |
Version boundary: why this is not a copied win route
Ninja Kiwi's v56.0 notes change Obyn's support interactions with Skywarden, including camo detection at level 8. That is one concrete example of why hero-support assumptions from an old run can drift. The release note is a reference point, not proof that this page completed a v56.0 run.
This guide keeps standard milestone identification separate from price, hero-level and damage assumptions. Enter current prices yourself and use your installed upgrade descriptions. The former 2023 CHIMPS example has been removed because its author did not identify an exact build; it was not an adequate basis for a current win claim. No paid hero, power or continue is required to use this planning tool.

Turn the run into a reusable route
Keep a short note: map, difficulty, hero, Monkey Knowledge status, major purchases and first failed round. A route using extra starting cash cannot be assumed to work on an account without it. If you test with knowledge disabled, say so in your notes.
Change one failure-related purchase or position and repeat the same map. Once that threat is solved, transfer the principle to another map with similar geometry. You are learning how to recognize missing capabilities, which is more durable than memorizing a screenshot without its mode settings.
Before you play
- Standard round set confirmed.
- Camo and lead coverage proved separately.
- MOAB shell damage and cleanup both budgeted.
- Knowledge status and first failure written down.
Frequently asked questions
Why did the same guide fail on a different mode?
Starting cash, prices, round sets, restrictions and Monkey Knowledge can differ. Match those conditions before comparing placements.
Is this an exact CHIMPS solution?
No. It is a standard-map planning guide. CHIMPS removes important supports and requires its own tested route.
