Capture the repeatable symptom

SEGA's support article asks whether the crash repeats on the same level, what was happening, whether there is a freeze/system error, if other games crash, where the game is installed, session duration and crash times. That information helps distinguish a title-specific issue from a broader device symptom.

  1. Record platform, storefront, game version and campus/scenario before changing files.
  2. Write the exact sequence immediately before failure and whether it repeats on the same level/action.
  3. Copy the full error text or describe freeze vs. exit vs. console shutdown.
  4. Record elapsed play time, local date/time/timezone and drive type/location if known.
  5. Compare whether other games show similar failures; do not infer a specific hardware cause from one crash.

Use only reversible checks that match the symptom

SEGA's article is dated May 2023 and its suggestions are not guaranteed. Do not apply Steam-specific steps to console or Mac builds, and do not change several drivers, overlays and storage locations at once.

Prepare a concise support submission

SEGA also requests comments on crash reports where available and says a changed foundation name on the meta map can be useful. Use only current client menus and avoid sharing unnecessary personal/account details.

  1. Copy the observed details into the browser-local worksheet below; it does not submit anything.
  2. Add crash date/time including timezone, campus/action, repeatability, exact error and steps already tried.
  3. If available, add a concise comment through the game's own crash-report flow and contact SEGA support through its current page.
  4. For performance-only symptoms, include platform/driver/overlay state and compare the same scene after one reversible change.
  5. Use community discussions for comparison, but treat reports as user-generated and check their game build/platform.

Frequently asked questions

Will disabling Steam Overlay fix every crash?

No. SEGA says it helped some players with low FPS; the article does not present it as a universal crash fix.

Should I reinstall before recording the error?

Capture the symptom and protect relevant saves first; SEGA's support page asks for detailed crash context if the problem persists.

Does the worksheet contact SEGA?

No. It formats reader-entered notes in the browser only; you choose whether to submit through official support.

Sources & revision notes

Editorial revision: November 7, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.

  1. SEGA Support: Two Point Campus technical issues (Official)

SEGA's technical article was updated May 4, 2023 and recommends relevant reversible PC checks and a structured crash report including repeatability, activity, message, other games, drive and time. It is dated support advice, not proof of the cause of a present-day crash.

  2. SEGA Support: Two Point Campus support categories (Official)

SEGA's current support section routes Campus questions to General, Gameplay FAQ/Known Issues, Technical Issues and Modding categories. Use the current category and platform-specific article; no ticket was submitted.

  3. Two Point Campus: Update 10.0 release notes (Official)

Developer-published release notes identify build 10.0.137397 and describe the character-limit toggle. This is a dated feature note, not a current course-capacity manual; confirm build and menu in the installed edition.

  4. Two Point Campus Steam Discussions (Community)

External player posts may refer to a particular campus, DLC, platform or patch and are not verified mechanics. Ask with campus/scenario, course, student status and the relevant panel; do not present an anecdote as a universal capacity rule.

What changed in this revision
