Separate five slots from the ten possible ingredients
The cited Community Center list shows ten named choices but five spaces to fill. Deposit one each of five different listed types; a stack of five Clams is still only one type. The list includes saltwater and freshwater catches, four beach-forage items and Crab, which can also come from certain mine enemies.
The Fish Tank appears after completing one bundle elsewhere in the Community Center. The referenced standard and remixed lists both show the Crab Pot Bundle, but inspect your actual bundle screen before promising a particular slot. The three Crab Pots are the individual bundle reward, not the reward for finishing every Fish Tank bundle.
| Route | Examples | Important limit |
|---|---|---|
| Beach forage | Clam, Cockle, Mussel, Oyster | Four types, not five; spawns vary |
| Mine enemy drop | Crab from Rock Crab or Lava Crab | Chance drop and combat risk; not a guaranteed fifth |
| Saltwater pot | Lobster, Crab or Shrimp | Bait and an overnight catch; results vary |
| Freshwater pot | Crayfish, Snail or Periwinkle | Different catch pool from ocean water |
| Already-owned item | Any listed type not yet deposited | Count the bundle slot, not the size of the item stack |

A no-pot route is possible, not guaranteed
The beach reference lists Clam, Cockle, Mussel and Oyster as possible forage on the beach in all seasons. Search accessible sand and put one of each different item aside instead of shipping the only copy. Whether you find all four, and how soon, depends on the spawns in that save.
For a possible fifth, the Rock Crab reference places this enemy on normal Mines floors 1–29 and lists Crab as a possible drop. Fighting it is optional and risky; a kill need not drop Crab. If you already own an eligible fifth item from a pot or another source, use that instead of taking a mine trip.
- Unlock the Community Center and complete a first bundle to reveal the Fish Tank.
- Read the Crab Pot Bundle and mark which of its five slots are already filled.
- Look for distinct listed forage at the Beach and reserve one of each needed type.
- If you choose the mine route, take supplies and leave safely; treat a Rock Crab drop as chance, not a promised reward.
- Deposit five different listed items and collect the bundle's three-pot reward.

Worked inventory: duplicates do not fill the last slot
Illustrative inventory: two Clams, one Cockle, one Mussel and one Oyster, with no items yet deposited. That is five objects but only four eligible types. Deposit or reserve one of each type; the extra Clam cannot replace the fifth type. If you later obtain one Crab, those five distinct types complete the bundle.
This is a slot-count example, not a claim that a Crab was found. An eligible Lobster, Shrimp or freshwater pot catch could be the fifth instead. Do not sell the last copy before confirming the slot is filled.
| Item in example | Count | Different eligible types |
|---|---|---|
| Clam | 2 | 1 |
| Cockle | 1 | 1 |
| Mussel | 1 | 1 |
| Oyster | 1 | 1 |
| Crab | 0 | 0 until obtained |
| Current total | 5 objects | 4 types; one different type still needed |

If you have a pot, choose water and bait consciously
The Crab Pot page says pots are placed at bodies of water and usually need bait, which is added again for the next catch. The Luremaster profession is an exception to the bait requirement. After a baited pot's next-morning catch, collect the result and check whether you need to re-bait it.
Ocean and freshwater use different creature pools. Trash is a possible result without the Mariner profession, and bait or location can change probabilities. One night of a pot is not a promise of the last bundle item. If your only pot was a reward or purchased rather than crafted, the recipe is not a prerequisite for using it.
| State | What to inspect | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| No bait and no Luremaster | Is the pot actually baited? | Add bait and check the following morning |
| Trash caught | Pot location, profession and bait | Collect it and try again; do not count it for the bundle |
| Already deposited Clam caught again | Bundle's remaining different choices | Save or use the extra; seek a new type |
| Freshwater target but pot on ocean | Actual water type | Place a pot at an appropriate freshwater shore |

Collect the right reward and record your result
The individual Crab Pot Bundle rewards three Crab Pots. Finishing all Fish Tank bundles is a separate objective whose cited reward removes the Glittering Boulder and gives access to panning. Check the bundle's reward before leaving and keep the two completion milestones separate.
To report a discrepancy, record the game version, standard or remixed setting, exact slots, items already donated, and the actual location and result. A player screenshot can be useful evidence if available; this guide does not claim a firsthand catch or completed farm.

Before you play
- Read the actual Crab Pot Bundle's five slots.
- Reserve four different beach forage types when found.
- Find a fifth listed type; do not count a duplicate Clam.
- Distinguish three-pot bundle reward from finishing the entire Fish Tank.
Frequently asked questions
Can five Clams complete the Crab Pot Bundle?
No. The five spaces require different listed types; a Clam is one of those types.
Do I need to own a Crab Pot before completing this bundle?
Not necessarily. Four eligible shellfish can be foraged at the Beach and Crab can drop from mine enemies, though neither route guarantees an immediate find.
Is a Crab from the Mines guaranteed?
No. The community Rock Crab reference describes Crab as a possible drop, not a guaranteed one.
Does every Crab Pot need bait?
Normally yes; the cited source lists Luremaster as an exception. Check the profession and pot state in your game.
