Set the right expectation before installing
Ubisoft's FAQ describes the demo as three hours of selected gameplay, beginning with the first quest and opening a limited area; it is not a complete campaign or a transferable trial save. The Switch 2 announcement separately repeats that there is no demo-save carry-over. Confirm your regional storefront because 'most platforms' does not mean every store or territory.
| Question | Ubisoft's stated answer | Practical implication |
|---|---|---|
| How long is it? | Three-hour time limit | Use it to evaluate the game, not as a guaranteed campaign chapter count |
| What is included? | Selected opening quest and limited Tatooine exploration/side content | Do not assume the rest of the galaxy or later systems are available |
| Will demo progress transfer? | No; the FAQ says progress does not transfer | A full-game purchase starts from the full version's own save path |
| Is it available everywhere? | Ubisoft says most supported platforms | Check the current store listing for your platform and region |

Use the demo as a decision test
- Open Ubisoft's current demo FAQ and your own platform storefront; confirm the listing, region and download before reserving play time.
- Choose one or two questions to answer—such as whether the stealth loop, traversal or controls suit you—rather than trying to rush campaign completion.
- Before starting, note that the demo save is not a full-game progression bridge. Do not spend time making a transferable completion plan.
- If you later buy the full game, launch the full version and follow its first-run save flow; do not delete demo data or change cloud settings to force a transfer.
- If the store's behavior appears different from Ubisoft's published rule, capture platform, storefront and exact prompt, then ask Ubisoft support; label community replies as user reports.

Scope and limits
This guide does not guarantee the demo is currently offered in every region, and it does not inspect a timer, purchase or save. The official no-carry-over statement is the deciding rule; older community posts about Ubisoft cloud saves may describe the full game rather than the separate demo.

Before you play
- I confirmed the demo is in my current storefront and region.
- I understand the three-hour limit and selected-content scope.
- I am evaluating the game rather than expecting the demo save to transfer.
- I will preserve any full-game save and avoid deleting data to force a migration.
Frequently asked questions
Can I continue the demo save in the full game?
Ubisoft says demo progress does not transfer. Use the demo to evaluate the game, not to bank campaign progress.
Does the demo include the full open world?
Ubisoft describes selected opening content and a limited area, not the complete campaign.

Ubisoft says the demo is time-limited to three hours, covers selected content, and demo progress does not transfer to the full game. It lists availability on most game platforms, not every region or storefront; confirm the live local store page.

Ubisoft separately states that the Nintendo Switch 2 demo does not carry saves into the base game. This is a platform-specific corroborating announcement; the general demo FAQ is the broader source.
