Power Maul charge-to-move check

Focus Together warns the displayed Power Maul text is outdated. Confirm current patch and in-game charge count yourself.

Reference: Check the in-game charge indicator, then compare with the 15.2 threshold. The checker cannot read your weapon state.

Official Hotfix 15.2 notes

Read the current official thresholds

Hotfix 15.2 separates Power Maul actions by charge count and specifically warns that its text descriptions are not yet updated. This makes the patch note a better immediate reference than an outdated in-game tooltip.

Separate Power Maul from One-Handed Thunder Hammer

The same hotfix changes the One-Handed Thunder Hammer's charge time and attacks, while the Power Maul has its own thresholds. Shared patch-note placement does not mean the weapons use identical charge rules.

  1. Confirm the equipped weapon is the Heroic One-Handed Thunder Hammer or Power Maul; do not use one weapon's values for the other.
  2. Check that the client has Hotfix 15.2 or newer and read later notes for changes.
  3. Use the on-screen charge indicator as your immediate state, then apply the matching official move threshold.
  4. If the tooltip contradicts the threshold, capture the weapon name, patch and screen for a report; Focus Together notes that the text still needs updating.
  5. Do not post a damage-per-second claim based only on charge thresholds; damage, enemy, difficulty, perks and patch are separate variables.

Why the local checker is deliberately narrow

This reference helps remember the action threshold and flags the documented stale tooltip. It cannot test controller timing, read the game client, compare builds or infer whether a given attack is optimal in your encounter. Treat it as a patch note companion, not a recommended build.

Re-check later hotfixes before relying on a threshold

Patch references are point-in-time guidance. If a later hotfix changes the weapon, action, or charge behavior, use that newer official note and the live in-game indicator. Keep the patch number beside any community clip or build advice so older examples are not mistaken for current rules.

  1. Open the latest Focus Together patch notes and search for Power Maul and the exact move name.
  2. Confirm the game client is on the same or newer patch than the source being applied.
  3. Compare the charge indicator in the current build; do not infer hidden state from a video recorded on an older version.
  4. If patch notes and UI disagree, report the exact weapon, move, patch and reproduction instead of asserting damage or meta conclusions.

Before you play

  • I checked the current patch number and exact weapon name.
  • I used the official charge threshold rather than an outdated tooltip.
  • I treated the reference as move eligibility only—not damage or meta advice.

Frequently asked questions

Does Power Maul Ground Slam use two charges?

Hotfix 15.2 states Ground Slam can be performed with 3 charges; Charged Impact is available at 1–2.

Is this a best-build recommendation?

No. It records the official action thresholds and the stale-tooltip warning only.
