Use the platform owner as the first filter
The same title is distributed through several PC storefronts and console/mobile ports. Mega Crit's FAQ assigns support routes by platform class. Check the live FAQ before sharing technical details because support contacts and port ownership can change.
| Problem context | Route | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| PC crash, freeze or bug | Mega Crit FAQ and linked Steam PC FAQ | That a console/mobile fix applies to the PC build |
| Lost PC save | Mega Crit's PC support route or FAQ-listed contact | That cloud restore is safe without preserving the current copy |
| Console/mobile bug | Balor support contact named by Mega Crit | That Mega Crit's PC log path exists on the device |
| Purchase, platform account or entitlement issue | Relevant storefront/platform support as appropriate | That gameplay support can change a store account |

Prepare a focused report
A good report lets support distinguish version, port and reproducibility. Share only requested diagnostic details; never send login credentials or recovery codes.
- Write down the exact storefront/device, OS or console model, and displayed game version.
- Describe one symptom in the title and include the steps that reproduce it, if safe.
- Note whether the problem began after a game update, account/device change or settings adjustment.
- Follow the FAQ route for PC or Balor route for console/mobile; use a platform store route for billing/access issues.
- Before applying a player-posted workaround, verify the platform and build match; keep a backup and prefer reversible steps.
- Return to the same thread with results instead of opening duplicates when the issue is clearly identical.

Frequently asked questions
Who publishes console/mobile ports?
Mega Crit's FAQ says Balor publishes them and lists a Balor support contact for bugs/issues.
Can I use Steam community advice on a phone?
Only if it clearly applies to the same port/build; otherwise treat it as unrelated anecdote.
Does the checker submit a ticket?
No. It helps organize a draft locally and has no publisher or account connection.
Sources & revision notes
Editorial revision: November 7, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.
- Mega Crit: Slay the Spire FAQ (Official)
Mega Crit distinguishes PC support from console/mobile support, lists supported platforms and directs unresolved PC or lost-save problems to its support/community routes. Use the current FAQ because port ownership and support contacts may change. No save was inspected.
- Mega Crit: Contact and technical support (Official)
Publisher contact page says technical problems should start with the FAQ and then use its support contact if unresolved. This does not replace platform-store support for purchases or account access.
- Slay the Spire Steam Community Discussions (Community)
External user-generated PC/Steam discussions. Posts are anecdotal and may not apply to Switch, console or mobile ports; use Mega Crit's platform-specific contact guidance for unresolved issues.
November 7, 2026: first publication, made Mega Crit's PC-versus-port support boundary explicit. No port or device was tested.
