Identify the edition first
Mega Crit lists PC on Windows, Mac and Linux through Steam, GOG and Microsoft Store, plus console and mobile editions. Its FAQ explicitly sends PC issues to a PC FAQ/support route and console/mobile bugs to Balor. This separation prevents a Windows save instruction from being misapplied to a Switch or phone.
| Edition | Start here | Capture before contacting |
|---|---|---|
| PC: Steam/GOG/Microsoft Store | Mega Crit PC FAQ, then its support route | Storefront, OS, game build, account/cloud state and last known save |
| Nintendo Switch / PlayStation / Xbox | Balor's console support route named in Mega Crit FAQ | Console model, game version and whether another profile/device is involved |
| Android / iOS / Apple Arcade | Balor's mobile support route named in Mega Crit FAQ | Device/OS, purchase/channel and whether sync changed recently |
| Unsure which publisher handles the port | Check the current Mega Crit FAQ before submitting | Do not send passwords, recovery codes or full payment details |

Preserve a useful, non-sensitive support report
The publisher specifically gives lost save data as an example of an unresolved PC issue. Its contact page says to check the FAQ first. Describe what vanished and when; do not follow an unverified file replacement method that could overwrite the remaining copy.
- Stop making changes that could sync or overwrite the affected profile; do not uninstall as a first step.
- Record platform, storefront/app edition, OS, visible game version, account/profile used and the last date progress appeared.
- Note recent updates, device changes, cloud prompts or account switches without assuming they caused the loss.
- For PC, consult the current Mega Crit FAQ and PC community FAQ; for console/mobile, use the Balor contact route it names.
- Describe the missing progress and steps already tried; provide only diagnostic data the official support route requests.
- Keep local backups private and redact usernames, account IDs, purchase receipts and unrelated files before sharing.

Sources & revision notes
Editorial revision: November 7, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.
- Mega Crit: Slay the Spire FAQ (Official)
Mega Crit distinguishes PC support from console/mobile support, lists supported platforms and directs unresolved PC or lost-save problems to its support/community routes. Use the current FAQ because port ownership and support contacts may change. No save was inspected.
- Mega Crit: Contact and technical support (Official)
Publisher contact page says technical problems should start with the FAQ and then use its support contact if unresolved. This does not replace platform-store support for purchases or account access.
- Slay the Spire Steam Community Discussions (Community)
External user-generated PC/Steam discussions. Posts are anecdotal and may not apply to Switch, console or mobile ports; use Mega Crit's platform-specific contact guidance for unresolved issues.
November 7, 2026: first publication, turned Mega Crit's edition-specific support directions into a safe lost-progress triage. No save recovery was performed.
