Confirm the mode and session owner
Pathea changed multiplayer's design during development and described a workshop-focused cooperative experience at release. Old Early Access posts can therefore describe a design that no longer matches the released game.
- Read the launch mode selected from the game library/menu.
- Record whether the session is the Singleplayer story or Multiplayer Workshop.
- For a hosted session, note who owns the world and which players have joined.
- Record platform and build before comparing online tips or patch notes.

Compare the same kind of progress
The official release post lists multiplayer commissions, urban-planner quests, areas and NPC content. Similar wording does not establish that the campaign objectives or character unlocks are shared between modes.
| Question | Verify in the current mode | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Where is this commission? | Active board, mode and workshop level | That Singleplayer board and Multiplayer board match |
| Why is this quest absent? | Mode-specific quest/objective list and prerequisites | That a story guide describes co-op availability |
| What did a returning player keep? | Current character/world screen and official cross-save notes | That story saves/progression transfer into workshop mode |
| Why do players see different menus? | Platform, build and selected mode | That every platform has the same multiplayer interface |

Make a clean co-op preflight
If a task differs, avoid rebuilding machines or deleting saves until the host confirms the current session and objective. Share only non-sensitive details in public discussions.
- Ask the host to state mode, platform/build and world/session name.
- Open the same objective/commission in the active Multiplayer UI and copy its exact text.
- Check required workshop level, players' roles and available machines in that world.
- If players still differ, include their platform/build and a concise reproduction rather than assuming a corrupted story save.

Frequently asked questions
Is Multiplayer just the story campaign with friends?
Pathea's release post describes a collaborative workshop experience with its own activities; use the active mode's rules.
Will my story quest appear in Multiplayer?
Do not assume so. Check the current mode-specific quest list and patch notes.
Does this confirm cross-play or cross-save?
No. The cited sources do not establish universal platform cross-play or save transfer.

- Pathea Games: My Time at Sandrock full release notes (Official)
Pathea's release post describes the full release and separate multiplayer workshop systems, including commissions and co-op content. It is a dated release reference; later patches may change tasks or menus. Confirm the current game mode, platform and objective in the client. No workshop or save was inspected.
- Pathea: Sandrock update adding the Commission Tracker (Official)
Pathea's Steam patch history documents a Commission Tracker sold at City Hall Store after the workshop reaches Level 10. This is a dated PC update note; check current availability and mode-specific UI rather than assuming identical console/multiplayer behavior.
