Match the symptom to the actual patch note

The 44.1 note is deliberately narrow: on PC, some text in kill events on the Replay Timeline displayed incorrectly. It does not claim a replay file was corrupted or later restored, and it does not promise every older replay can still be viewed. Treat a missing file, a replay that will not load, and a label that displays the wrong text as different problems.

Build a useful report without claiming a fix

A reproducible report lets support separate platform rollout from the symptom. Keep the report factual; do not upload another player's replay or include personal identifiers without checking the official support instructions.

  1. Record PC or console, platform/store, region and the exact game version shown in the client.
  2. Write down the match date/mode and which Replay Timeline kill-event label appears incorrectly.
  3. If on PC, confirm the 44.1 maintenance/update has completed; if on console, check whether the scheduled Nov 12 rollout has actually reached your region.
  4. Retest the same replay only if it is still available. Do not delete local data or claim this patch recovers unavailable files.
  5. If the named text issue persists, send those observations through PUBG's official support route; use player forums only for clearly labeled community discussion.

Why old replay availability is a separate question

A timeline label is metadata shown during playback; the patch note says nothing about retention windows, replay file storage, version compatibility or server-side retrieval. Treat those as separate questions. Do not promise a replay can be recovered just because the related text label bug has a fix.

  1. Keep the original symptom precise: wrong event text, missing replay, or playback failure.
  2. Note whether the replay is still present in the game's own interface.
  3. Ask PUBG Support about retention and compatibility using the official route; avoid downloading unknown replay utilities or deleting local data.

Use community posts for comparison, not as a patch guarantee

Player discussions can reveal whether others report a similar interface symptom, but they cannot confirm your installed rollout or recover a replay. When asking, include platform, build, match date and a redacted description of the timeline label. Do not upload another player's replay or assume an unverified workaround is safe.

  1. Check the official platform maintenance notice first.
  2. Compare only reports from the same platform and approximate client build.
  3. Describe the exact timeline text and whether the replay itself still opens.
  4. Use PUBG Support for account- or replay-specific help; treat forum replies as unverified community experience.

Before you play

  • I separated wrong timeline wording from a missing or unopenable replay.
  • I recorded platform and installed version rather than assuming rollout.
  • I did not delete files or claim replay restoration.
  • I captured the exact displayed text and match context.
  • I removed account identifiers before sharing a public discussion post.

Should I reinstall if a replay is missing?

This source does not recommend reinstalling or deleting data. Record the symptom and use PUBG Support before destructive troubleshooting.

Sources & revision notes

Editorial revision: November 6, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.

  1. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Update 43.2 Patch Notes (Official)

KRAFTON's October 2026 notes specify that the new PUBG Standard/Shooter Standard presets and hold-to-open Message Radial behavior apply to console, not PC. Existing saved settings are retained; the two new presets are not customizable.

  2. PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Update 44.1 Patch Notes (Official)

KRAFTON's November 3, 2026 notes list a PC fix for incorrectly displayed kill-event text on the Replay Timeline. PC maintenance was listed for November 4; console maintenance for November 12. This does not say that replay files are restored or repaired.
