Nightingale: Realm trip planner

Record one objective, the Realm preview, and the condition that means return. This form only prepares a note in your browser; it does not contact the game, server or another player.

Entries stay in this page state and clear on reload. Nothing is stored, submitted, or sent to analytics by this component. Do not include account credentials, private file paths, personal information, or another player's identifying details. Community discussion is unverified user-generated content, not official support or proof of a mechanic.

Set the trip's success condition before you travel

A Realm is not just a scenery choice: the official description says Realm Cards affect destination details, including hostiles, resources and environment. The useful planning question is therefore not 'what is the best Realm?' but 'what single thing makes this trip worth its risk, and does the preview support it?' Record the visible selection, not an assumed drop table.

Run a reversible scouting loop

  1. At the Portal, choose one objective and note the displayed Realm/environment/hostile information available in your current build.
  2. Pack only the tools and supplies relevant to that objective; keep scarce building or crafting inputs at your Estate when practical.
  3. Enter, confirm the environment matches what you planned for, and explore a small first loop rather than committing to a long route immediately.
  4. Collect or observe the objective, then return while you still have a reserve. Write down what the Realm actually provided; do not turn one visit into a universal drop-rate claim.
  5. Only after the first loop succeeds, plan a longer visit or a different card combination. If the interface or card behavior differs from a guide, record the game build and consult the latest official news/community support.

Evidence boundary

This guide does not name a best card combination, resource yield, combat rating or exact survival timer. The official feature page establishes that cards shape the destination; it does not provide a complete current matrix of every card and realm. Steam currently lists Early Access, so treat exact balance and interface steps as build-sensitive.

Before you play

  • I wrote one objective before opening the Portal.
  • I checked the displayed Realm details rather than assuming a drop table.
  • I kept rare materials separate from a first scouting loadout.
  • I returned with a reserve and recorded observations, not an invented test claim.

Frequently asked questions

Is there one best Realm Card combination for every trip?

The official feature page says cards determine destination details, including environment, resources and hostiles. A universal combination cannot be recommended without a specific target and current card preview.

Does the guide verify current loot rates?

No. It gives a planning loop and does not claim measured drop rates or current-build combat testing.

Sources & revision notes

Editorial revision: November 7, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.

  1. Nightingale official site (Official)

Inflexion's site describes the game loop: Realms, Realm Cards, resource gathering, estates and solo/co-op play. Checked November 7, 2026. It does not publish a complete current recipe or balance database.

  2. Nightingale on Steam (Official)

Developer-published Steam product page. It currently labels the PC game Early Access and lists single-player, online co-op and LAN co-op; this is not a console compatibility statement.

  3. Nightingale: How to Play with Friends (Official)

Inflexion's friend-play instructions (October 4, 2025) document listen versus dedicated servers, character selection, joining, and carrying progress back to a personal world with Play Solo. Check current menus before relying on a historical UI label.

  4. Nightingale player discussions (Community)

Player-authored Steam posts are unverified UGC, not official instructions or GamerWin testing. Check the post date, game build and host setup before applying any reported fix.

What changed in this revision

November 7, 2026: first publication. Replaced an unsupported 'best realm' ranking with a goal/preview/return decision method based on Inflexion's published feature description. No gameplay or drop-rate test is claimed.
