Build a precise Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 troubleshooting note

Record the variables that change the correct support route. Your entries stay in this page until you choose to copy the note; they are not uploaded or saved. Never enter passwords, recovery codes, payment details, or another player's personal data.

Suggested next step

Confirm the 2024 build and store, then check Marketplace > My Library before moving PC add-on folders.

Check the library state first

MSFS 2024's My Library is the relevant control surface for enabling, disabling and downloading content. Packages can contain multiple items, so expand the package row before concluding that every aircraft or livery is absent.

  1. Confirm you launched Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, not the 2020 edition, and let the current simulator update complete.
  2. From the main menu open Marketplace, then My Library.
  3. Search for the aircraft/package by name; use filters to narrow the list and expand packages that contain multiple items.
  4. If listed but disabled, select the content item and choose Enable; if not installed, use Download where offered.
  5. Restart the simulator when the support page says a Community-content change requires it, then check the aircraft selector again.

When content exists but the sim has another problem

A selectable aircraft and a stable simulator are separate checks. If MSFS 2024 crashes or behaves abnormally, Microsoft's vanilla-state flow disables non-Microsoft streamed packages and isolates the PC Community folder. This is a troubleshooting test, not a recommended permanent content deletion.

  1. Record the simulator build, store (Steam or MS Store), aircraft/add-on and exact symptom.
  2. Use My Library to disable non-Microsoft streamed packages as Microsoft documents.
  3. On PC only, close the sim and rename the correct MSFS 2024 Community folder; the default path differs by store.
  4. Restart and reproduce the same symptom. If it stops, re-enable packages one at a time; if it persists, report it through official support.
  5. Do not delete StreamedPackages or Community content unless following the current support page and you have preserved anything you need.

Before you play

  • I confirmed the 2024 simulator and current build.
  • I checked Marketplace > My Library and expanded package contents.
  • I distinguished Disabled, Download and Not available states.
  • I recorded the store and add-on before vanilla troubleshooting.
  • I have not treated another pilot's forum post as a verified entitlement result.

Frequently asked questions

Does Not available mean I lost my purchase?

Microsoft's MSFS 2024 help page says this label means content is not yet verified in the simulator; check current account/store entitlement separately.

Why did an aircraft disappear after update 1.2.7.0?

Microsoft says available non-Microsoft ported MSFS 2020 Marketplace content is disabled by default after that update and can be enabled in My Library.

Can this checker see my Marketplace library?

No. It uses only what you enter and cannot access the simulator, account, purchases or installed packages.

Sources & revision notes

Editorial revision: November 6, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.

  1. Microsoft Flight Simulator Support: Enable, disable and download content (Official)

MSFS 2024 support page updated October 18, 2026: after update 1.2.7.0 some ported Marketplace content is disabled by default; manage it through Marketplace > My Library. 'Not available' means not yet verified for MSFS 2024, not necessarily missing ownership.

  2. Microsoft Flight Simulator Support: Restore MSFS 2024 to vanilla state (Official)

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 support article updated November 5, 2026. It isolates non-Microsoft streamed packages and the PC Community folder, then re-enables items one by one. Folder locations differ by Steam/MS Store; do not apply MSFS 2020 paths.

  3. Microsoft Flight Simulator player discussions (Community)

External community posts can involve different simulator versions, aircraft and peripherals. Treat reports as user-generated; state MSFS 2024, build, store and add-on, and do not post account details.
