Budget from the active loadout, not a generic chart
The publisher's summary establishes what the resource is for, but not a fixed CP price for every action. Action costs should therefore be read from your current character, weapon and ability UI. A static community list can become misleading after a DLC or build difference; treat it as a lead, not as a substitute for the tooltip.
| Planning step | What to read in your game | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Starting budget | Current available CP display | This is the amount the worksheet can calculate from |
| Planned action | Tooltip cost for this Tech-Priest/weapon | Costs are not assumed universal here |
| Reserve | Your chosen contingency CP | The planner checks your own safety margin |
| Unexpected event | Re-read the current combat state | No calculator can predict the enemy or future action cost |

Turn-planning sequence
An arithmetic reserve is useful only if the inputs correspond to the current mission state. Do not spend based on an old roster or a cost remembered from a different weapon.
- Select the Tech-Priest and inspect the exact ability/weapon tooltip.
- Write the CP costs for actions you intend to take this turn.
- Choose a reserve for the one ability or contingency you do not want to lose access to.
- Subtract planned costs from the current visible CP total; if the result falls below reserve, defer or remove a lower-priority action.
- Before each action, check the game's current resource readout again; another effect may have changed it.

Worked arithmetic example
Suppose your display shows 7 CP, two planned actions have tooltip costs of 2 and 1, and you want to keep 3 CP in reserve for a later ability. The arithmetic is 7 − 2 − 1 = 4, leaving 1 above your chosen reserve. This is only an arithmetic example with hypothetical UI values; it is not a tested loadout or an assertion that a specific weapon costs 2 CP.
| Entered value | Example | Source of the value |
|---|---|---|
| Available CP | 7 | Hypothetical; read your own interface |
| Planned costs | 2 + 1 | Hypothetical; read each current ability tooltip |
| Chosen reserve | 3 | Player-selected contingency |
| Remaining after plan | 4 | 7 − 2 − 1; arithmetic only |

Limits and community context
The official page supports the role of CP, not the numbers in the worked example. Costs can depend on active ability, equipment and game content; verify in the current UI. The external Steam forum is UGC: users may discuss particular builds, DLC or difficulty, and none of those posts is a verified GamerWin test.

Before you play
- I read the cost from the selected unit's current tooltip.
- I chose a reserve based on the action I want to keep available.
- I checked the resulting arithmetic before spending.
- I re-read the live CP display after state changes.
Frequently asked questions
What is the universal CP cost of a strong ability?
The cited official source does not state a universal cost. Read the selected unit/ability tooltip in your current game.
Does the tool tell me the best build?
No. It checks only player-entered costs and reserve arithmetic; it cannot inspect units, equipment, skills or a combat state.
Can I assume every Tech-Priest generates CP the same way?
This guide makes no such claim. Check the current game UI and verified documentation for your exact ability/loadout.
