Build a reproducible stock report
The KSP forum guide distinguishes stock and modded support and asks users to include the build and operating environment. It names buildID.txt, readme.txt and the main menu as ways to identify the version, and explains when craft or save files are relevant.
| Issue | Attach only if relevant | First classify |
|---|---|---|
| Craft will not behave as expected | Screenshot and the specific .craft file | Build, OS and whether the craft used mods |
| Career/save problem | A copy of the relevant save only if support asks | Build history, update timing and stock/modded state |
| Crash or launch failure | Output/player log and crash log if generated | OS, architecture, storefront and reproducible trigger |
| Mod-specific failure | Mod list/version and clean reproduction details | Use modded support, not the stock-only forum |

Keep the upload safe and useful
The forum guide mentions sharing files through an upload service. Treat saves, logs and screenshots as potentially private; inspect and redact them before posting. Include the version and a concise reproduction instead of uploading an entire installation.
- Confirm this is Kerbal Space Program 1 and note whether the install is stock or modded.
- Record the build shown on the main menu or in the installation's buildID/readme file.
- Write a short, ordered reproduction and what you expected versus observed.
- Add OS, architecture, storefront, basic specs and update history requested by the support guide.
- Attach a craft or save only when it materially reproduces the issue; preserve an untouched backup.
- Inspect logs/screenshots for usernames, paths, account data or unrelated private content before linking them.

Does this worksheet inspect the KSP install?
No. It only formats details manually entered in the browser.
