Use the right eligibility branch
The WB Games patch announcement is specific to PC build 2153883 and names RTX 50 Series plus driver 616.64 or newer for Neural Rendering. NVIDIA's availability article additionally lists RTX Spark and GeForce NOW Ultimate. These are distinct routes: the driver minimum applies to the listed PC requirement; it does not tell you whether a cloud subscription or catalog entitlement is active.
- Check the game build in your store; the official November 5 announcement labels build 2153883 for Steam, Epic Games Store and Windows PC.
- On a Windows PC, verify the GPU is in the RTX 50 Series and check the installed GeForce Game Ready Driver version.
- Update Hogwarts Legacy and, if needed, the NVIDIA driver through the official channel. Do not assume an RTX 40/30 card qualifies just because other DLSS options appear.
- Open the game's graphics options and enable Neural Rendering yourself; the patch says the switch is OFF by default.
- If using RTX Spark or GeForce NOW, follow the official device/service route rather than applying the Windows driver test.
- If all documented PC conditions appear satisfied but the option is still absent, record the build, GPU, driver and store and use the report builder below.

Do not conflate platform support with Neural Rendering
The same PC patch announcement adds Steam Deck OLED and Steam Machine support with optimized graphics settings and a virtual keyboard. That is device support, not a statement that those devices receive the RTX 50 Series Neural Rendering feature. Similarly, the announcement's Intel XeSS Multi-Frame Generation support is a different technology from NVIDIA Neural Rendering.
| Your setup | What the source says | What to check next |
|---|---|---|
| Windows PC with RTX 50 Series | Neural Rendering requires a supported NVIDIA GPU and driver 616.64+ | Build 2153883/current update; installed driver; toggle is off by default |
| GeForce NOW Ultimate | NVIDIA lists the feature for this service tier | Current catalog/device availability and service tier; not local GPU driver |
| RTX Spark | NVIDIA lists RTX Spark PCs | Current game update and device availability |
| Steam Deck OLED / Steam Machine | PC patch adds support, optimized graphics and virtual keyboard | Do not infer Neural Rendering support from this note |
| Intel XeSS device path | PC patch adds Intel XeSS Multi-Frame Generation | This is not the NVIDIA Neural Rendering toggle |

If the toggle is still missing
First separate an eligibility problem from a stale update or an unrelated menu issue. A matching online post can suggest what to compare, but it cannot establish that your build or hardware is supported. Do not download replacement DLLs or unofficial drivers as a first response; keep troubleshooting reversible and use the publisher's official support route for a reproducible issue.
- Record the exact store, game build, GPU model and full driver version.
- Confirm whether your route is a local RTX 50 PC, RTX Spark or GeForce NOW Ultimate.
- Restart the game after a game/driver update, then revisit graphics options.
- If still missing on a documented eligible setup, capture the exact menu state and submit it through WB Games support; remove account and personal identifiers from public posts.

Separate image enhancement from frame-rate claims
DLSS 5 Neural Rendering adds developer-tuned lighting and material detail as a rendering stage; DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation solve different rendering jobs. The PC patch separately updates Intel XeSS and adds Intel XeSS Multi-Frame Generation. Do not use the presence of one label to infer support for another feature, and do not assume the Neural Rendering toggle raises FPS on your particular machine: NVIDIA's reported performance figures are vendor benchmarks, not an independent result for your configuration.
| Menu/technology name | Published purpose or scope | Avoid assuming |
|---|---|---|
| Neural Rendering | Developer-tuned lighting and material detail; supported path depends on PC GPU/driver or named service/device | That it is a frame-rate preset or available on any DLSS-capable GPU |
| DLSS Super Resolution | Upscaling option listed separately in NVIDIA's recommended settings | That this is the same switch as Neural Rendering |
| DLSS Frame Generation / Multi Frame Generation | Separate frame-generation features; selected changes may have different restart behavior | That every generation multiplier or switch shares the same availability |
| Intel XeSS Multi-Frame Generation | A distinct Intel technology added/updated in this PC patch | That it unlocks NVIDIA Neural Rendering |

Before you play
- Build/store copied from the installed PC client, not guessed.
- PC hardware and driver checked against the explicit requirement.
- Neural Rendering distinguished from DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation and Intel XeSS.
- Steam Deck/Steam Machine general support not mistaken for RTX feature eligibility.
- No unofficial DLL or driver advice applied based on an unverified post.
Frequently asked questions
Is Neural Rendering enabled automatically after the patch?
No. WB Games says it is OFF by default; NVIDIA says to update the game and activate Neural Rendering in options.
Can an RTX 40 Series PC use this option?
The November 5 WB Games note specifies RTX 50 Series as the currently supported NVIDIA GPU family. It does not establish RTX 40 Series eligibility.
Does the checker scan my PC?
No. It evaluates the platform, build and driver text you enter and cannot detect your GPU or installed versions.
