Local-only player tool

GT7 recovery route checker

Choose the closest symptom and compare the current Known Issues list before submitting a request.

Next step from the cited support flow

These match categories named by Polyphony (progress loss or Cafe Menu Book blocker). If the live Known Issues list does not include it, use the official recovery form; approval or restoration is not guaranteed.

This tool does not contact Polyphony, PlayStation or GT7 servers. It cannot recover data. Do not delete local data unless the exact official branch applies and you understand the consequence.

Check whether the issue is excluded today

  1. Write down PS4 or PS5, game version, last successful save/progress point, exact message and the Cafe/Menu Book or event involved.
  2. Open Polyphony's live Known Issues list and compare the symptom literally; that list is updated separately and can change.
  3. If the issue matches a listed Known Issue, do not submit a save-recovery request for it yet; follow the issue notice and recheck after updates.
  4. If the issue is progress loss or a Cafe Menu Book blocker not listed there, open the official recovery form and submit the requested evidence.
  5. If the game or a specific race/license/mission will not start, follow the reinstall/PlayStation Support route before asking for server data recovery.
  6. Do not upload saves, receipts or account details to community forums. Use the official form for recovery.

What the recovery form does not prove

The form says Polyphony will endeavor to resolve eligible cases, not that every local save or lost item can be restored. A community post, a console cloud snapshot and server-side progression are not interchangeable evidence. Check the official route before overwriting local data.

  • I recorded platform, version, exact symptom and last confirmed progress.
  • I matched the problem to the support form's listed categories.
  • I have not posted account or save data publicly.

Frequently asked questions

Can GTPlanet restore my save?

No. It is an independent player discussion forum, not Polyphony's recovery service.

Is every game crash eligible for recovery?

No. The publisher names specific preliminary steps and request categories; check its current page for the exact route.

Sources & revision notes

Editorial revision: November 7, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.

  1. Gran Turismo 7: Save Data Recovery Request (Official)

Polyphony/Sony lists progress loss and Cafe Menu Book progression blockers as eligible areas, excludes currently listed Known Issues, and gives different preliminary steps for a game that will not load and a corrupted-save message. Follow current on-page warnings before changing console data.

  2. Gran Turismo 7: Current Known Issues (Official)

The linked notice has a dated update heading and may become stale. Check its live contents before deciding whether a symptom is excluded from a recovery request; the guide does not claim it has been refreshed for every later patch.

  3. Gran Turismo 7 player discussions on GTPlanet (Community)

Independent user discussion; anecdotes can involve a different update, console or server state. Use official recovery/support instructions for account- or save-affecting actions.

What changed in this revision

November 7, 2026: first publication, turned the official recovery categories and exclusion rule into a symptom router. No account or save was inspected.
