Fields of Mistria: When Date Inspiration Items Start Appearing

Check the prerequisite before spending another day searching

The developer's v1.0.7 note corrects two common assumptions: you do not have to unlock at least one date first to find Date Inspiration items, and dates grant more Heart Points than gifting. It does not say that an item appears every day, in a fixed place, or at a guaranteed rate.

1. Record the Steam branch/build shown in your library; do not apply a PC patch note as a confirmed console rollout date.
2. Open the target NPC's relationship panel and confirm it displays Dating, rather than only Friendship or another status.
3. If the NPC is not yet dating, continue the relationship path using the current in-game prompts. Do not assume a Date Inspiration item itself is the first prerequisite.
4. Once Dating is visible, check the item description and current world/shop clues. The official patch note supplies no fixed spawn schedule or drop percentage.
5. If comparing gifts with dates, treat the patch's direction as qualitative only: dates grant more Heart Points, but the developer did not publish exact values in this note.
6. If the item remains absent, capture the platform/build, NPC status, item name and locations checked, then compare with the newest official patch notes before repeating an older route.
