Use a compatibility matrix, not guesswork
Crossplay support does not mean every mod available on PC is available on console. GIANTS specifically calls out the console ModHub restriction; use the current in-game ModHub and server screen as the deciding source for what this group can load.
| Player setup | Check before launch | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Console joins a hosted farm | Every enabled mod appears in the console ModHub and is installed | A PC-only download is console compatible |
| Mixed PC and console | Same game title/build, map, DLC and enabled mod set | The host can force another player's missing mod to download |
| All PC | Storefront/build and exact mod version match | The console-specific restriction describes PC-only play |
| Server list empty | Host crossplay setting, region/filter and session state | A mod mismatch is the only possible cause |

Host a reversible test session
Keep the first troubleshooting run simple: use a copy of the farm save if possible, change one compatibility variable at a time, and do not remove mods from the only production save.
- Record host platform/storefront, game build, map, DLC and dedicated-server status.
- Export or copy the enabled mod list; record each mod's name and version.
- For a console participant, verify each enabled mod is listed in the console ModHub before starting.
- Ask all players to update to the same available build, then match the host's mod list exactly.
- Test with one participant first; note the exact join error and whether the server appears.
- If it still fails, compare the current manual/support page and ask the host to test an unmodded copy—not the shared main save.

Frequently asked questions
Can a console player join with any PC mod?
No. GIANTS says console players can only join servers using mods available through console ModHub.
Does crossplay mean every platform can join every server?
It confirms cross-platform multiplayer support, not universal compatibility across mods, DLC, builds or server settings.
Does this checker connect to my server?
No. It only helps record details you enter locally; it cannot query FS22 or inspect a save.
