Upwell service fuel runway calculator

Use the per-hour rates shown by the installed service modules and the usable matching blocks in the structure fuel bay. This page never reads EVE or ESI.

Service 1

Enter stock and at least one positive service rate to calculate a simple estimate. Unknown rates are not treated as zero.

CCP says each service has its own running rate and an initial service-onlining cost equivalent to three days of fuel. Reserve that setup amount separately, verify the live fuel bay and access role, and do not use this estimate as a timer guarantee. CCP structure management.

Separate an online service's setup cost from its hourly burn

CCP says bringing a service online consumes an initial cost equal to three days of fuel from the bay, followed by hourly fuel consumption while that service is online. Service modules differ, and their details show the rate. Do not count the setup amount as if it were an ongoing hourly rate.

Calculate an estimate using measured service rates

For a deliberately simple example, suppose the in-client service details show 4 blocks/hour for Service A and 2 blocks/hour for Service B, and the correct fuel bay contains 720 usable blocks. Their combined ongoing rate is 6 blocks/hour; 720 ÷ 6 = 120 hours, or five days, before considering setup fuel, deliveries, bonuses or other stock changes. This is arithmetic using example inputs, not an observed EVE structure.

  1. List each active service module and copy its displayed blocks/hour value.
  2. Confirm each rate refers to the fuel block type stocked in the structure.
  3. Enter only usable current stock and the active services you intend to keep online.
  4. Reserve the initial three-day onlining cost separately for any service not yet online.
  5. Use the resulting runway as a planning estimate, then verify the live fuel-bay display and service state in game.

Check access before promising a refill

A correct arithmetic result does not prove that a character can reach or alter the fuel bay. CCP distinguishes player docking/service availability from corporation structure-management roles; its management article lists CEO, Director and Station Manager access for specific management operations. Alpha clone restrictions also distinguish starbase refueling from Upwell fuel-bay access. Confirm the exact structure and action in current official help before assigning roles.

Limitations and a safe hand-off to corporation mates

The calculator uses only manually entered figures and calculates stock divided by combined hourly rate. It is not connected to ESI, does not see fuel bays or profiles, and should not be used as proof that a service is online or a timer is safe. For shared operations, post the source of each rate and the stock observation time in your corporation's approved channel; do not publish private structure coordinates or access information in public discussion.

Before you play

  • I copied the rate from each specific installed service module.
  • I counted only matching fuel blocks actually usable in this structure's bay.
  • I reserved the separate initial three-day onlining cost for each service I plan to activate.
  • I verified the exact role and structure action before promising a refill.
  • I treated the browser result as arithmetic, not live structure telemetry.

Frequently asked questions

Do all Upwell services use the same fuel per hour?

No. CCP says service modules have their own rates; inspect the specific installed module in the client.

Does the calculator include the initial onlining cost?

No. It calculates only the ongoing rate from your inputs. CCP documents a separate initial cost equal to three days of fuel when a service is onlined.

Can it tell me whether my corporation structure is about to go low?

No. It cannot connect to EVE or read structure data. Enter a current manually verified fuel stock and module rates, then check the live structure interface.

Does the same access rule apply to starbases and Upwell structures?

Do not assume so. CCP's Alpha/Omega and structure-role guidance distinguishes these actions; verify the specific structure and role in official support.

Sources & revision notes

  1. EVE Online Support: Skill Training (Official)

CCP Support says skill training runs in real time while logged out and supports queues of up to 150 skill entries. Training speed varies with attributes and Alpha/Omega state. Read the in-client estimate; this page does not read a character or skill queue.

  2. EVE Online Support: Skill Requirements (Official)

CCP describes direct and nested prerequisites, injected books, queued levels, Alpha/Omega restrictions and the in-client estimated training time. No ship fitting or character was inspected.

  3. EVE Online Support: Skill Plans and How They Work (Official)

CCP documents personal and corporation skill plans, required corporation roles and the in-client plan/queue workflow. Menu labels can change; verify in the live client.

  4. EVE Online Support: Alpha and Omega Clone (Official)

CCP's clone-state article was updated February 4, 2026. It distinguishes Alpha and Omega access and states Omega-only trained levels become inactive when game time lapses. Recheck current account state and notices before relying on access.

  5. EVE Online Support: Structure Management (Official)

CCP describes Upwell service-module initial onlining fuel cost, hourly running costs, fuel-bay workflow and role-gated structure management. Fuel consumption varies by installed service; use each module's in-client displayed rate rather than a universal number.

  6. EVE Online Support: Roles Listing (Official)

CCP lists corporation roles, including Structure Manager/CEO/Director management access. Role names and permissions are consequential; confirm the current in-client role description before assignment. No corporation was accessed.
