Read the whole prerequisite chain, not only the top line
CCP's requirement panel shows direct requirements and indented prerequisite skills; its indicators distinguish trained, queued, partially trained and not-yet-injected entries. A ship appearing in a fitting tool is not proof that the character can board or use every module.
- In the live client, open the exact ship or module's information and select Skill Requirements.
- Expand every nested requirement and note levels marked untrained, queued, not injected, or Omega-only.
- Check the character's current clone state. CCP says trained skills outside the Alpha set become inactive when Omega lapses.
- Use the client's displayed total training time; its estimate depends on attributes and current clone state.
- Only then add eligible injected skills to the active queue or a personal skill plan.

Use queue capacity as a slot limit, not a time guarantee
CCP documents a queue of up to 150 skill entries and real-time training while logged out. Entry count and training duration are different: one queued level may take much longer than another. The game client, not a generic web estimate, is the source for the character-specific duration.
| Check | What the source establishes | What you must verify in-game |
|---|---|---|
| Queue slots | Up to 150 entries may be queued | Your current queue length and what the client allows you to add |
| Offline coverage | Training continues while logged out | The end time shown for the final queued level |
| Missing prerequisite | Requirements show prerequisite levels and injection status | Whether the skill book is injected and each dependency is met |
| Alpha/Omega | Clone state affects accessible skills and training | Current account state and whether the target skill is eligible |

Worked example: a trip longer than the queue
Suppose the client says your final queued skill completes at 18:00 tomorrow, but you expect to be away until the following evening. That is a visible coverage gap—not evidence the skill will complete by your return. Add only a desired, eligible continuation after checking prerequisites; do not pad the queue with a different skill you do not actually want.
- Write down the queue's displayed final completion time and your expected return time.
- If the queue ends first, choose the next useful skill level from an actual plan or ship requirement.
- Verify the skill is injected, its prerequisite levels are satisfied, and its clone-state requirement matches.
- Check that the client accepts the new queue entry and read the recalculated end time.
- If the displayed estimate or account state differs from the plan, trust the client and revisit the skill plan before logging out.

Use the local checklist without sharing account data
The attached browser-local checklist records only values you type into this page. It cannot query EVE, verify injected books, read your queue, inspect Omega time or submit a skill plan. It is a reminder to compare your own client state.

Before you play
- I checked the exact target ship/module and all nested requirements in the client.
- Any required skill book is injected, not merely visible in a plan.
- My Alpha/Omega state permits the skill levels I intend to use.
- I compared the final queue time with my planned offline period.
- I used the client estimate and did not share credentials or API keys.
Frequently asked questions
Does skill training stop when I log out?
CCP Support says skill training runs in real time independently of being logged in.
Is a full 150-entry queue guaranteed to cover my absence?
No. CCP documents a maximum entry count, not a fixed duration. Compare the last completion time shown by your client with your plans.
Why can a trained skill appear unavailable?
Clone state matters. CCP says Omega-only skills/levels become inactive when an account reverts to Alpha; check the current account state and exact requirement panel.
Can this page access my character?
No. The tool runs in your browser and cannot connect to EVE, read character data, or make account changes.

- EVE Online Support: Skill Training (Official)
CCP Support says skill training runs in real time while logged out and supports queues of up to 150 skill entries. Training speed varies with attributes and Alpha/Omega state. Read the in-client estimate; this page does not read a character or skill queue.
- EVE Online Support: Skill Requirements (Official)
CCP describes direct and nested prerequisites, injected books, queued levels, Alpha/Omega restrictions and the in-client estimated training time. No ship fitting or character was inspected.
- EVE Online Support: Skill Plans and How They Work (Official)
CCP documents personal and corporation skill plans, required corporation roles and the in-client plan/queue workflow. Menu labels can change; verify in the live client.
- EVE Online Support: Alpha and Omega Clone (Official)
CCP's clone-state article was updated February 4, 2026. It distinguishes Alpha and Omega access and states Omega-only trained levels become inactive when game time lapses. Recheck current account state and notices before relying on access.
- EVE Online Support: Structure Management (Official)
CCP describes Upwell service-module initial onlining fuel cost, hourly running costs, fuel-bay workflow and role-gated structure management. Fuel consumption varies by installed service; use each module's in-client displayed rate rather than a universal number.
- EVE Online Support: Roles Listing (Official)
CCP lists corporation roles, including Structure Manager/CEO/Director management access. Role names and permissions are consequential; confirm the current in-client role description before assignment. No corporation was accessed.
