Classify the failure before changing the build
The official Steam description says each mission has objectives, enemies and extraction, and presents progression through successive dives. Those are different failure points: an objective can remain incomplete even if the build survives; a strong build can still lose time to an uncompleted goal; an extraction attempt can end before you return. Start from the exact on-screen objective and result, not a remembered generic route.
- Record the platform/store and displayed game build before restarting. Steam updates include fixes and balance changes; a player report without a build is hard to compare.
- Write the mode, mission/biome, class and stage. If you use a paid expansion, say so; don't mix expansion weapons or objectives into a base-game comparison.
- Copy the exact objective text from the active mission and note what the UI showed as complete, incomplete or remaining.
- Describe one observable failure: objective deadline, enemy pressure, health loss, missed pickup, or inability to reach/extract. Avoid inferring a hidden damage formula from one attempt.
- List the weapons/tags/artifacts/upgrades you remember and the single change you made most recently. If you don't know an exact value, label it unknown instead of reconstructing it.
- Check the linked official patch history for a fix or balance note matching your build before repeating a community workaround.
- Use the form to draft a question; redact private or identifying details and choose yourself whether to post it externally.
Match the evidence to the question
The developer's 1.1 notes specifically describe Endless as changing pace after stage 10. A failure in Endless stage 11 is therefore not directly comparable to an early stage or an ordinary mission. The Steam Discussions venue is user-generated and useful for comparing experiences, but it is not official support or a verified answer.
- For an incomplete objective, capture the exact on-screen wording and progress; don't label it a bug before checking the build and repeat steps.
- For a combat failure, note the class, weapon tags, visible upgrades, hazard, stage and observed sequence; one failed run does not prove a weapon is always weak.
- For missed extraction, record the mode, remaining objective and displayed stage/time. Don't assume there is a universal timer or route across modes.
- For an Endless difficulty spike, state whether it began before or after stage 10 and include the artifact choices; do not generalize one community build to every patch.

Before you play
- I recorded the displayed build, mode, class and stage.
- I quoted the objective/result as shown rather than relying on memory.
- I separated objective, combat and extraction failure modes.
- I labelled unknown details as unknown and checked matching patch notes.
- I know player discussions are external/user-generated and posting is optional.
Frequently asked questions
Does the report builder send my question to Steam?
No. It creates text locally in your browser; you decide whether to copy and post it.
Can this guide tell why my run failed?
No. It structures observations so a player or support discussion can compare them; it cannot inspect the run or diagnose hidden causes.
Are discussion replies official game rules?
No. The Steam Discussions page is user-generated. Verify mechanics in the current game and official developer notes.
Do these steps apply to the original Deep Rock Galactic co-op game?
No. This hub is for the distinct single-player Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor title.
