During a run, separate a defense shortfall from a lobby problem

Dome Keeper's main loop alternates mining with enemy attacks. Raw Fury's multiplayer overview describes co-op and versus as local or online modes, while the Steam page links the changing PC update history. Do not assume that a Steam PC guide describes console controls, cross-store invites or every multiplayer setup.

For a wave problem, identify what happened on screen: which enemies reached the dome, whether the shield was active or depleted, what weapon/gadget action you used, and whether a player was controlling the relevant input. For a session problem, record whether it failed before the lobby, at launch, or after gameplay began. These are different questions and require different evidence.

  1. Pause only when it is safe and note the exact mode (solo, co-op or versus), platform/store, displayed game version and whether the session is local or online.
  2. For a defense issue, record the dome, keeper(s), gadget(s), visible upgrades, wave number and the exact enemy or event that caused damage; do not infer a hidden damage formula from one loss.
  3. For a session issue, note host/client roles, invite path, whether both players can reach the lobby, and the first exact error or disconnect point. Do not post account identifiers or private invite links publicly.
  4. Check the official Steam announcement history for a patch matching the displayed build before applying an old forum workaround. A later fix may make an older report irrelevant.
  5. Use the report builder below to organize observations, then post only if you want to ask the external Steam community. Replies are player experience, not official support or verified facts.

Make the question reproducible, not just longer

A useful player report lets another person compare like with like. In particular, distinguish local co-op from online play and solo from co-op/versus; include the date/build visible to you and describe one symptom. The Xbox Wire article confirms the broad multiplayer options introduced in April 2026, but does not promise every cross-platform combination or network condition.

Player discussion is an optional external destination

The Steam Discussions link is user-generated. GamerWin does not host comments or claim that an example report came from a real player. Remove usernames, account data, private lobby codes and unrelated screenshots before sharing; use the developer/publisher's official support route for account or purchase problems.

Before you play

  • I recorded platform/store, mode and displayed version.
  • I described one observable wave or lobby symptom.
  • I separated local/online and solo/co-op/versus context.
  • I checked official patch notes before repeating an old workaround.
  • I understand the report stays in this browser until I copy it, and posting is my choice.

Frequently asked questions

Does the report builder contact other players?

No. It formats text locally in the current tab. You choose whether to copy it to an external discussion.

Does the April 2026 announcement prove every platform can cross-play?

No. It describes co-op/versus and local/online modes broadly. Check platform-specific official materials for the exact combination you want.

Is this guide verified against a live co-op session?

No. It is a source-based checklist; no lobby, network, defense run or player report was tested.

Sources & revision notes

Editorial revision: November 7, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.

  1. Dome Keeper on Steam: official store page and update history (Official)

Developer/publisher page checked November 7, 2026. The page describes the mining-between-waves loop and links the official update history; its newest listed Steam patch is v5.0.8 (September 3, 2026). This does not establish a tested run or console parity.

  2. Xbox Wire: Dome Keeper Multiplayer is Here (Official)

Raw Fury brand manager's April 13, 2026 overview says the free update adds co-op and versus modes playable locally or online, and identifies Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Xbox Play Anywhere and Game Pass availability. It does not document every cross-store invite or network case.

  3. Dome Keeper Steam Community Discussions (Community)

External user-generated Steam discussions, not GamerWin comments, official support or verified player testing. Match Steam PC, version, mode and DLC; do not follow old exploit or balance claims without checking the current build.

  4. Dome Keeper Wiki.gg: Keepers (Community)

Community-maintained overview checked November 7, 2026. It summarizes keeper differences; use the selection and upgrade UI in the installed game for current unlock and behavior details.
