Understand the weekly snapshot before changing your base
Supercell's Ranked Leagues support page says a defensive base is snapshotted when the player is placed into a league group on Monday. If auto sign-up is enabled, Supercell says that is equivalent to signing up at the start of Monday. A layout change after placement does not update the defense used for that tournament season.
Practical consequence: if you want a different Ranked defense this week, prepare the layout before placement. The exact UI entry point may move; recent Supercell interface notes say League/Leaderboard now has a dedicated button and that buttons are being reorganized.
- Check whether auto sign-up is enabled and confirm the upcoming Ranked week in the current UI.
- Before the Monday placement/snapshot, set and verify the defensive layout you want opponents to face.
- If you prefer manual signup, finalize the layout first and then sign up once ready, as Supercell recommends.
- After placement, assume later layout edits will not change this week's snapshotted defense; plan the next week instead.

Plan attacks from the current league counter—not a remembered number
Supercell's support table shows that the weekly attack allowance varies by Ranked League, and Legend League has separate tournament timing and attack rules. The table can change as the game is updated; this guide intentionally does not repeat a potentially stale attack budget.
Before the week starts, read the current league label and remaining-attack counter in game. Use that counter as the source of truth for your account. Do not apply Legend's daily flow to other leagues or treat regular multiplayer battles as Ranked attacks.
| Question | Safe source of truth | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| How many Ranked attacks do I have this week? | Current league and in-game remaining-attack counter | Copied chart from a past season |
| Is this Legend League? | Current league badge and current Legend rules page | Assuming all leagues use the same weekly reset |
| Does a normal battle use my Ranked budget? | Mode label and Ranked counter | Mixing Ranked, regular Battles, CWL and Clan War attacks |

Worked week plan: one account, two different modes
Imagine a player has a handful of Ranked attacks remaining and also has a CWL war on the same day. These are independent modes: the player should check the Ranked counter for the available Ranked attacks, and separately confirm whether they are in that day's CWL lineup. A CWL attack does not provide a substitute Ranked attempt, and an unused Ranked attack does not satisfy a CWL lineup obligation.
The local helper takes the league/weekly context, whether the defense was finalized before placement, and the remaining count you read yourself. It returns a reminder sequence; it cannot fetch current season data or confirm an attack was recorded.
| Mode | Where to verify participation | What the guide is checking |
|---|---|---|
| Ranked League | Ranked screen: league group, remaining attacks and defense state | Weekly tournament participation and snapshot timing |
| Clan War League | War map: today's lineup and attack marker | Whether you were selected for that day's CWL war and used its attack |
| Regular Battle | Battle screen / regular battle history | Separate casual resource/trophy activity, not Ranked or CWL attack budget |

Build an attack checklist without assuming a strategy wins
- Record the league and remaining attacks as shown immediately before planning; avoid copying a fixed number from an older article or video.
- Choose a target and army that fit your current available troops and the target's visible layout; the helper does not prescribe a guaranteed army or outcome.
- Before pressing Attack, verify that the mode is Ranked rather than a regular Battle and that any Temporary Troops assumptions match Supercell's current rules.
- Finish the attack and verify that the in-game counter or result updated before starting another battle; Supercell's guide says a current Ranked battle must finish before the next begins.
- If the counter or snapshot appears wrong, record non-sensitive UI wording and check Supercell's live support article or ask in a clearly labeled player community.

Keep this separate from CWL and refresh moving rules
Ranked League is a player-versus-player league with a weekly group and league-specific attack rules; CWL is a clan event whose daily lineup and attacks are managed on a war map. Similar words such as league, placement, defense and attack do not mean the systems share one snapshot or attack budget.
Supercell can revise league names, interface paths, weekly limits, inactivity rules and Legend League details. Recheck the official article at the beginning of a new tournament rather than treating an old screenshot as current.

Before you play
- I am looking at Ranked, not regular Battles, CWL, or Clan Wars.
- I checked my current league and remaining attack counter in game.
- I finalized my defense before the weekly group placement/snapshot.
- I did not assume a post-snapshot layout edit changes this week's defense.
- I checked the current Supercell page if I am in Legend League or a new season.
- I separately checked whether I am in today's CWL lineup.
Frequently asked questions
When is my Ranked defensive base snapshot taken?
Supercell says it is snapshotted when you are placed into a league group on Monday; auto sign-up is equivalent to signing up at the start of Monday. Later changes do not affect that tournament season.
How many Ranked attacks are available each week?
It varies by league and can change. Check the live Supercell table and your current in-game counter; Legend League follows different rules.
Can I change my base after the weekly snapshot?
You can edit a layout, but Supercell says changes after placement are not reflected for that tournament season. Prepare the layout before the snapshot if you want it used that week.
Is a Ranked attack the same as a CWL attack?
No. Ranked and CWL are separate modes with separate counters, selection and schedules. Verify each mode's own screen.
