Match the symptom to the patch note
The official hotfix is unusually specific: it names Treasure Resources in the Exploration Age, Factory Resources in the Modern Age, and multiplayer softlocks preventing turn advancement. Its developer note says those resource types previously were not all required to appear in the random selection, and the fix now requires all of them in that selection. Do not widen this into a promise that every resource appears near your starting city or is immediately visible.
| Symptom | Hotfix statement | Evidence to capture next |
|---|---|---|
| Treasure Resource seems absent in Exploration | The hotfix changed the selection so all Treasure Resources are included | Build, seed, map type, Exploration Age and explored map tiles |
| Factory Resource seems absent in Modern | The hotfix changed the selection so all Factory Resources are included | Build, seed, map type, Modern Age and map-search results |
| Multiplayer will not advance the turn | The hotfix says it addressed multiplayer turn-advance softlocks | All players' builds, platform, player count, turn, host and reproducible save |
| A different resource or single-player issue | Not named in this hotfix summary | Check current notes and describe the symptom without assuming this patch covers it |

Safe troubleshooting sequence
A map screenshot alone is not enough to establish a spawn bug: the patch note concerns random selection, while exploration and map search affect what the player can currently see. Preserve a reproducible seed before changing several settings.
- Write down the exact build and platform for the host and every multiplayer participant.
- Update through the relevant platform and restart; check the official announcement for platform-specific rollout caveats.
- For a missing resource, confirm the relevant Age and exact resource name, then search the map and record the map type/seed and explored area.
- For a turn lock, note the turn, host, player count, multiplayer setup and whether every participant can reproduce it. Avoid overwriting the only copy of the save during diagnosis.
- Change one variable at a time and capture a screenshot or log that shows the map/build or turn state.
- If the problem persists on a confirmed hotfix-or-newer build, compare the official current notes and send the reproducible details to support or the player forum.

Run the local hotfix checker
Select the build state and issue. The result tells you which exact patch note is relevant and which reproducibility details to record. It is not an install checker, map scanner, save repair or guarantee that the hotfix cured every case.

Do not confuse upcoming changes with shipped changes
The official feed separately announced Update 1.5.1 for the week of November 9 and described future Arc of Tomorrow/Earthrise content for 2027. Neither announcement is proof that those changes are already installed. Recheck the live notes after an update and keep the platform/build in any community post.

Before you play
- I matched the issue to a fix actually listed in the September 30 hotfix.
- I confirmed platform and build, including Switch/Switch 2 rollout status.
- I recorded the map seed and Age for a missing-resource report.
- I kept future 1.5.1 or 2027 features separate from shipped 1.5.0 fixes.
Frequently asked questions
Does 1.5.0 guarantee every Treasure Resource is near my city?
No. The hotfix addressed their inclusion in random resource selection; it does not promise proximity or visibility without exploration.
Which turn-advance issue did the hotfix address?
The announcement says it addressed multiplayer softlocks that could prevent turn advancement. It does not claim to fix every frozen turn or single-player stall.
Did Switch receive the hotfix at the same time as PC?
The September 30 announcement said the hotfix would come to Switch/Switch 2 later because of Nintendo submission requirements. Check current platform update status.
