Use the live shop as the source of truth
The broad loop is clear: survive a wave, collect materials, then decide what to buy or reroll. Exact reroll schedules are more fragile: community references document formulas, but the update index checked for this page is internally ambiguous about the main version after the November 2026 DLC 2 entry. That uncertainty is why this page avoids printing an authoritative-looking wave table.
Use the visible price for each planned reroll, including any displayed discount or free reroll effect. Add the cost of the target offer and a reserve you do not want to spend. This is a budget check, not a probability estimate or a claim that a reroll will produce a wanted weapon.
- Read the current materials total and write down the next reroll prices you intend to pay, in order. If a free reroll applies, enter 0 only when the UI confirms it.
- Enter the purchase price of the offer you are still trying to afford and a reserve for the rest of the build.
- Compare the remaining balance with that reserve before rolling. If the plan crosses it, lock a useful offer, stop rerolling, or revise the target rather than treating another roll as guaranteed value.
- After a branch, DLC or platform update, re-read the shop itself. Do not apply a community price table until its version and mode match your run.
| Current situation | Safer choice | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A needed offer is visible and affordable | Buy or lock it before rerolling | The visible offer is certain; a future roll is not |
| A useful offer is affordable but you need another slot | Lock it if the UI allows, then budget remaining prices | Protects the known option without assuming a future result |
| You cannot name the next displayed prices | Pause and read the current shop; do not use a remembered table | Version/DLC and modifiers can invalidate a memorized schedule |
| Your plan consumes the reserve | Stop or reduce rolls | The tool cannot guarantee the desired weapon/item appears |

Worked example using typed prices only
Suppose your screen shows 31 materials, your planned next rerolls cost 4, 5 and 6, the target item costs 10, and you want to keep 5 in reserve. The arithmetic is 31 − (4 + 5 + 6) − 10 = 6, which leaves 1 above the entered reserve. These numbers are an illustration, not a Brotato price claim or a tested shop sequence.
The planner cannot estimate offer odds, characterize a weapon as best, or predict what a future wave costs. If the shop changes prices after a purchase or your character has a modifier, replace the inputs with what is actually displayed.

What this cannot tell you
It cannot see the game, infer DLC or branch, read item prices, or reveal hidden shop odds. The Steam discussion board is external and user-generated; include your exact version, platform, mode, DLC/mod state and character, and treat replies as player reports until checked in-game.

Before you play
- I copied prices from the current shop instead of a remembered wave table.
- I included the cost of the actual target offer and a reserve.
- I did not treat a reroll as a guaranteed weapon or item.
- I recorded version, platform, mode, DLC and character if asking players about a mismatch.
Frequently asked questions
Does this calculator know Brotato's current reroll formula?
No. It adds the exact prices you type. The linked community update index has a version-label ambiguity around the November 2026 DLC 2 entry, so the guide avoids asserting one universal formula.
Should I always reroll for a weapon?
No. This is a spend worksheet, not a build recommendation. Compare the current offer, your survival needs and the reserve you entered.
Are the example prices from a tested run?
No. They are illustrative arithmetic only. GamerWin did not run the game or test a shop sequence.
Sources & revision notes

- Brotato on Steam (Official)
Blobfish's product page describes a top-down arena roguelite with up to six weapons, short enemy waves, material collection and a shop between waves; it also lists local co-op. Used for game identity and the broad loop, not a patch-specific balance claim.
- Brotato Wiki update index (Community)
Community-maintained update index checked November 7, 2026. It lists a November 2, 2026 DLC 2 / Patch 1.2.0.0 entry while its page also labels 1.1.10.9 as the current main version. Because those labels do not resolve the installed build or branch, this hub does not assume that older shop formulas apply to DLC 2 or every platform.
- Brotato Wiki: Shop (Community)
Community-maintained shop reference consulted November 7, 2026. It documents locking offers and increasing reroll costs, but the related update index exposes a 1.1.10.9 versus 1.2.0.0/DLC 2 freshness ambiguity. We use the page only to explain why the live offer and price should be read before planning; no old cost table is hard-coded.

November 7, 2026: first publication. Added an exact-price-input planner instead of repeating a possibly stale reroll formula. No Brotato run, DLC branch or shop odds were tested.
