Browser-local run review

Brotato post-run question builder

Turn observed details into one careful next-run experiment or a version-aware forum question.

Next review prompts

  • Mark the failure as unknown rather than inventing a cause.
  • Use the game version, mode, character, wave and a short observed symptom to ask for help.

This text is created locally and is not sent or saved. Copy it only after adding your platform, version, mode, DLC/mod state and character; remove account or personal details. The tool cannot inspect a run or verify a proposed cause.

Diagnose one failure instead of rebuilding everything

Brotato asks players to survive short waves, collect materials and make between-wave shop choices while building around a character and weapon set. A run that ends can have several explanations; changing every stat next attempt makes it hard to learn which constraint mattered. The structure here is an editorial review method, not a verified optimal strategy.

Use what the game actually showed: the wave reached, character, difficulty/mode, installed version, DLC/mod status, weapon labels and the event or enemy that ended the run. If a fact is missing, mark it unknown instead of filling it in from memory.

  1. Record the wave and exact displayed character/mode. Add platform, game version, DLC and mods before comparing advice from another player.
  2. Choose one failure category: damage pace, incoming damage/survival, shop/economy, movement/positioning, elite/horde handling, or unknown.
  3. Write one concrete observation about weapons and one about defense or positioning. Do not copy private account identifiers or unredacted screenshots into a public forum.
  4. Pick one reversible change for the next run. Keep other choices as similar as practical so the comparison is interpretable.
  5. If you ask in Steam Discussions, phrase a narrow question and say what you already tried. Treat replies as hypotheses until they match your version and you can confirm them in-game.

Share context without presenting a theory as fact

The Steam Community forum includes both developer-pinned support/update threads and user-written discussion topics. It is not GamerWin's own comment area. Include the exact build/version, platform, mode, character, wave and symptom; avoid account details and private data. When advice references an old patch, ask whether it still applies to your installed version.

A useful post can be short: 'On [version/platform/DLC], [character] ended on wave [N]. I observed [one concrete symptom]. My weapons were [labels], and I changed [one variable]. Is there a version-matched mechanic or alternative test I should check?' The bracketed fields are prompts, not claims about a real run.

Keep the review honest

The local note builder uses only the fields you type. It does not inspect a game log, screenshot, save, account or match and does not post anywhere. The official store description supports the broad wave-and-shop loop; detailed balance advice remains version-sensitive and should be checked against the current game and clearly dated community references.

Before you play

  • I recorded only what the run or UI actually showed.
  • I included platform, version, mode, DLC/mod state and character before comparing advice.
  • I chose one next-run change rather than changing the whole build at once.
  • I reviewed and redacted the local note before sharing it externally.

Sources & revision notes

Editorial revision: November 7, 2026; not a gameplay test date. The reference notes identify source limits and version differences.

  1. Brotato on Steam (Official)

Blobfish's product page describes a top-down arena roguelite with up to six weapons, short enemy waves, material collection and a shop between waves; it also lists local co-op. Used for game identity and the broad loop, not a patch-specific balance claim.

  2. Brotato Wiki update index (Community)

Community-maintained update index checked November 7, 2026. It lists a November 2, 2026 DLC 2 / Patch 1.2.0.0 entry while its page also labels 1.1.10.9 as the current main version. Because those labels do not resolve the installed build or branch, this hub does not assume that older shop formulas apply to DLC 2 or every platform.

  3. Brotato Wiki: Shop (Community)

Community-maintained shop reference consulted November 7, 2026. It documents locking offers and increasing reroll costs, but the related update index exposes a 1.1.10.9 versus 1.2.0.0/DLC 2 freshness ambiguity. We use the page only to explain why the live offer and price should be read before planning; no old cost table is hard-coded.

  4. Brotato Steam Community Discussions (Community)

External Steam forum with player-authored discussions and developer-pinned support/update threads. Posts are not GamerWin comments or verified gameplay evidence; state version, DLC, platform, mode and character when asking for help.
