Browser-local strategy worksheet

BATTLETECH version-aware question builder

Organize the Career/Campaign mode, platform/store, patch, DLC, or mods before comparing a guide or asking other players.

This worksheet only uses fields entered in this page tab; it does not read a save, game client, PC, account, logs, or Steam branch and submits nothing. Entries clear on reload. External community posts are user-generated and unverified; remove usernames, credentials, private save data, receipts, and personal file paths before sharing.

Budget from the displayed career, not a copied number

Patch notes are useful for locating a setting, while the live career UI is the authority for the costs currently displayed in your run. Avoid importing figures from another campaign or modded build.

  1. Confirm whether you started Career Mode or Campaign Mode; the 1.9 note specifically names a Career Mode difficulty setting.
  2. Record the installed patch and store/platform before comparing a guide.
  3. Open the current difficulty/options panel and note whether the Argo upgrade-cost modifier is available and enabled.
  4. Use the cost currently displayed in your own Argo upgrade interface to plan; if a setting was changed mid-run, verify its effect in the UI before spending.
  5. If costs still differ, compare DLC, mods and version, and ask for help with the exact labels rather than assuming the save is broken.

Create an evidence-based cost question

A clear question lets players compare like-for-like settings instead of repeating unsourced prices.

  1. Share career/campaign mode, difficulty options, DLC, store/platform and patch.
  2. Quote the upgrade's current displayed cost and the balance you are trying to preserve.
  3. State which 1.9 cost modifier is selected, if shown.
  4. Link the official note and mark other users' prices as their save-specific reports.
