Match the exact text before choosing steps
EA's error-code guide separates Secure Boot, Javelin error 94, blocked-software messages, DirectX faults and network errors. Do not run every fix for every launch failure.
| Displayed error family | EA's supported route | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Javelin error / error 94 | EA app as administrator → launch game from EA app → EA reinstall guidance if needed | Unofficial anti-cheat files or bypasses |
| Secure Boot prompt | Read msinfo32 values and use EA/OEM setup instructions | Changing BIOS blindly |
| Software cannot be used at the same time | Identify the exact software named in EA's warning | Assuming generic overlays are the same case or trying a bypass |
| DXGI_ERROR_ / DEVICE_HUNG | Restart; check game requirements and driver support | Applying Javelin reinstall steps automatically |
| Server or connection error | Check service/platform status and network troubleshooting | Changing anti-cheat settings |

Follow the Javelin 94 sequence in order
EA's published sequence targets the case where Javelin cannot start or locate the installation folder. It is not a guarantee that every error 94 has the same underlying cause.
- Close the game and restart the EA app, even if the purchase was through Steam or Epic.
- Right-click EA app and choose Run as administrator.
- Launch Battlefield 6 directly from the EA app.
- If the error remains, use EA's official Javelin reinstall instructions for the installed platform.
- Restart once and capture the exact remaining error; use EA Help if the official steps do not resolve it.

Use the local error-family router
The router selects a source-backed branch from your choice only. It cannot inspect running programs, accounts, files or installation folders, and it never disables anti-cheat.

Keep account safety and policy in scope
EA warns that some disallowed software messages can carry account-sanction risk. Do not bypass, tamper with, or replace anti-cheat components. If EA names a program, follow EA's current instruction for that exact case.
- Preserve the exact error text and platform/storefront.
- For a blocked-software notice, identify only the program EA names; avoid public posts containing account details.
- For a Secure Boot error, use the separate guide and EA setup article.
- For a Javelin error 94, use EA's own reinstall article instead of third-party downloads.
- Report a persistent problem to EA with the observed steps and result, not a guessed diagnosis.

Before you play
- Matched the exact error family first.
- Used the EA-app sequence only for Javelin 94.
- Kept Secure Boot, blocked software, DirectX and network routes separate.
- Avoided anti-cheat bypasses and untrusted replacement files.
Frequently asked questions
Does error 94 prove the game folder is missing?
No. EA says it can mean Javelin cannot start or find the installation folder; it is a possible explanation, not a complete diagnosis.
Should Steam or Epic players also open EA app?
EA's guide says to relaunch the EA app and then launch Battlefield 6 from there, even when obtained on Steam or Epic.
Can this tool check which program anti-cheat detected?
No. It only routes the error category you select and does not scan processes.
