Separate the patch statement from a guarantee
Hotfix 2.4.1's official note says several Xbox crash issues were fixed. It does not name all affected symptoms or state that every crash is resolved. Treat it as a dated patch scope, not a promise about one player's console.
| Your report | What the note supports | What remains unknown |
|---|---|---|
| Xbox crash on an older build | A later hotfix targeted several Xbox crashes | Whether this exact crash was among them |
| Xbox crash on 2.4.1 or newer | The update is installed, if the displayed version confirms it | Whether the current symptom is related or another fault |
| PC / PlayStation crash | No platform match to the Xbox statement | Platform-specific cause or fix |
| No version shown | Cannot verify patch state | Whether the hotfix has been applied |

Verify the version before troubleshooting
A patch only changes the installed client after the platform downloads it. The local check is a prompt to verify, not a query into Xbox Live or your game files.
- Close and restart ARC Raiders so the platform can finish the update check.
- Record the version/build displayed by the game or platform.
- Compare the platform and version with Embark's November 5 Hotfix 2.4.1 notice and later news.
- If current and the crash repeats, capture where it happens and the exact displayed error.

Use the local crash checker
The checker below distinguishes Xbox from other platforms and known from unknown build state. It cannot diagnose hardware, read crash logs or confirm that a crash is fixed.

Build a reproducible, privacy-safe report
Give support a concise observation rather than a guessed cause. If posting publicly, avoid account identifiers and network details.
- State platform, displayed version and approximate time with timezone.
- Describe the last action before the crash and whether it reaches a specific screen.
- Record whether it repeated after restarting and installing the available update.
- Check Embark's current announcements for a newer status before recommending the same action to others.
- Label any Steam discussion as a player report, not an official fix or confirmed reproduction.

- Did not claim the fix covers every crash.
