Confirm that the save has Update 3.0

Ubisoft's Anno Union release note says Update 3.0 launched on all platforms on November 5, 2026. Players continuing an existing save receive an introduction to new features such as Stamps and Notes. If the controls are missing, check the installed update before assuming the save is incompatible.

  1. Read the game's installed version/build from the title or update screen; distinguish an announced release time from an update that actually finished installing on your platform.
  2. Open the Copy/Stamp tool. In Update 3.0 its icon changes to a stamp, while the prior copying function remains.
  3. Select the residential or production layout area you want to reuse, then inspect the menu on the right for the option to create or edit a Stamp.
  4. If the Stamp feature introduction is dismissed or unclear in an older save, check the quest book/tutorial prompts and construction menu before deleting or restarting that save.

Save a layout and make it searchable later

The publisher's feature article says a selected area can be saved directly as a Stamp or edited first to put it in a specific folder. Stamps then appear in the construction menu, where their names, icons and folders can be changed. This is a reusable selection workflow; it is not a guarantee that every saved object will place on every island without checking terrain, access or current building rules.

  1. Choose the desired layout with the Copy/Stamp tool and create the Stamp from the right-side menu.
  2. Use edit-before-saving when you already know the destination folder; otherwise create it, then organize it in the construction menu.
  3. Give it a purpose-based name (for example, the district or production chain it represents) and an icon that helps distinguish similar footprints.
  4. When applying a stamp, inspect placement validity and road/terrain connections in the current island before confirming construction.

Share carefully on PC; do not promise cross-platform file transfer

Ubisoft says PC players can move stamp files between folders through File Explorer and share those files with other players. Treat this as a PC file workflow. The cited note does not promise cloud synchronization, console file access, or that a received stamp will fit an island with different terrain or building unlocks.

If a saved Stamp is missing, isolate the failure before rebuilding it

The publisher describes Stamps as entries in the construction menu and says existing saves receive an introduction to new features. A missing entry alone does not show that save data is damaged. Check the installed build, whether the feature prompt was dismissed, and whether the selection was actually saved before repeating the layout.

  1. Confirm Update 3.0 finished installing on the current platform; an announced rollout is not proof the local client updated.
  2. Reopen the Copy/Stamp tool and verify that the area selection completed and the save/create action was accepted.
  3. Look through the Stamp entries in the construction menu and inspect folders or names that may have been edited.
  4. On PC only, use the documented File Explorer workflow to check files you intentionally moved; do not delete or replace unrelated profile/save data.
  5. If it still fails, capture the platform, displayed build, save age, exact UI path and whether a Stamp entry ever appeared; ask in the player-run discussion board without posting private account or save files.

Before you play

  • I confirmed Update 3.0 is installed on my platform.
  • I saved the selection from the Copy/Stamp tool and verified it in the construction menu.
  • I separated PC file movement from unconfirmed console workflows.
  • I checked placement fit in the current island before committing the layout.

Frequently asked questions

Where did a Stamp I saved go?

The official feature article says created Stamps are available in the construction menu, where you can edit their names, icons and folders. Check that menu and the installed build first.

Can I share a Stamp from a console?

The cited publisher instructions explicitly describe sharing Stamp files via File Explorer on PC. They do not document an equivalent console file-export workflow.

Does Update 3.0 change an old save's goods consumption?

The publisher says the increased-consumption balancing affects new saves only; existing savegames are not affected by that change. Verify your save's own difficulty/settings rather than applying a new-save assumption.
