Separate the live HUD from the devblog
The developer explicitly warned readers not to mistake Entomb Save for logging out mid-life to play a different creature: it requires the current creature's life to end through entombment or other means. The post also says same-species reuse can overwrite the stored animal with a warning. Keep these boundaries visible when reading older player advice.
- Confirm the title screen/branch says Evrima Public, Horde Test, or Legacy; do not mix maps or creature behavior across them.
- Open the live migration/status UI and record the zone label, creature species, diet status and group leader before moving.
- Use DevBlog #71 as design context only. If the HUD disagrees or a described option is absent, the current build wins; consult matching patch notes.
- Before using Entomb, read the game's confirmation and overwrite warning. It is not a way to suspend a living character and pick another creature.
- If reusing the same species could overwrite a stored creature, stop and verify the confirmation text instead of clicking through.
- Report a mismatch with build, branch, creature, group membership and exact UI text; do not quote a development preview as final mechanics.
| Topic | Developer post says | What to verify in game |
|---|---|---|
| Migration | Redesign toward individual zones and diet/nutrition tied to zone | Current HUD zone and status on the public branch |
| Groups | Leader-sharing approach was described | Whether the live group UI currently shares the location |
| Entomb Save | Not a mid-life logout; creature life must end; same-species reuse risks overwrite | Live confirmation and warning for the selected creature |
| Legacy vs Evrima | Different branches are not interchangeable | Title-screen branch before following any advice |

Write a useful branch-specific question
Community replies often describe a different animal or test build. Include observations, not a conclusion that migration is broken.
- Record branch and exact build label.
- Copy the migration/status panel wording and creature species.
- Note whether you are grouped and whether the question is about diet, zone, or stored creature.
- Ask in Steam Discussions or the developer's official forum and label the source as player discussion.

Before you play
- I separated Legacy, Evrima Public and test branch context.
- I checked the current UI rather than treating a devblog as final patch notes.
- I understand Entomb is not mid-life logout.
- I will stop at a same-species overwrite warning and verify first.
Frequently asked questions
Does DevBlog #71 prove these are the live rules?
No. It explains intended system changes. Verify the current Evrima public branch and live UI; do not assume a test or preview build is identical.
Can I use Entomb to switch creatures and return later?
The developer explicitly says it is not a mid-life logout system; the creature's life must end. Follow the live prompt and overwrite warning.

Developer post checked November 7, 2026. It explains the intended migration redesign and Entomb Save boundaries, but those details are development notes; follow the live Evrima UI and current branch patch notes rather than assuming every announced change shipped unchanged.
- The Isle official Steam announcements (Official)
Developer-published update archive; use the announcement matching the installed Evrima branch. The official Steam news page showed public-branch 0.21.772 in August 2026 when checked November 7, 2026; this may not be the current build later.

External player posts are unverified and may refer to Legacy, Evrima, or a test branch. Include branch/build, creature, group status and the in-game zone label.
November 7, 2026: first publication. Kept migration details explicitly development-note scoped and clarified Entomb limits; no creature was tested.
