The First Descendant Cross-Progression: Choose the Right Data Before Linking

Map your current progress before you press Link

Cross-platform play and cross-progression only help if the correct data is selected. NEXON's guide distinguishes linking a Nexon ID from setting which linked platform data is Primary. It also warns that an empty Nexon account adopts the currently played platform data at first link, with no undo. Treat linking as a consequential account action, not a casual test.

1. On every platform you have used, launch the game and note which account/data set contains the progression you intend to keep.
2. Sign in to the Nexon ID you plan to use and determine whether game data is already bound to it. Do not enter passwords into this site.
3. If the Nexon account is empty, stop until the currently running platform is the one whose data you intend to bind; NEXON says this binding cannot be undone.
4. If multiple platform data sets already exist, review NEXON's Primary Account page and select the data set you actually want before relying on another platform.
5. After linking, verify in the game at Options > Account > Link Account, then re-enter the game as prompted. Confirm the expected progress appears before unlinking or resetting anything.

Unlinking is not a delete or merge button

NEXON describes unlinking as returning play to the platform's own data; relinking can return access to data stored on the Nexon/Primary Account. The documentation does not say unlinking merges progress or deletes the Nexon-bound data. Do not use unlink/relink as a recovery experiment.

Get help without exposing account information

If the game opens with unexpected progress after linking, stop further account changes and use official NEXON support. Public Steam discussions can help identify similar symptoms but are user-generated, may reflect an older patch, and are not account-support instructions.
