A deliberate rollback is different from repairing the current build
Owlcat's 1.6 release notice says the previous build remains available through Steam beta branches for players with mod issues or who wish to finish an existing playthrough without the changes. It warns that issues on that branch are unsupported. That makes the branch a compatibility choice—not a general fix for missing DLC or corrupted files.
| Need | Choice | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Continue a known older modded run | Back up, then select 1.5.0.320 on Steam beta branches | Legacy branch is unsupported |
| Use 1.6 features / current fixes | Stay on live branch and test without mods | Older mods may need updates |
| Other storefront or console | Use that platform's official version controls/support | Steam instructions do not transfer |

Branch selection without risking the only save
Owlcat names the legacy build, but players should use the current Steam UI rather than downloading executables from third-party sites.
- Exit the game and create a separate backup of the save folder and current mod list/load order.
- In Steam Library, open Rogue Trader Properties → Betas/Game Versions and select the branch corresponding to 1.5.0.320 if it is still offered.
- Let Steam finish the branch download and verify the displayed build before loading the backup copy.
- Continue the old campaign on that branch only; keep saves created there separate from current-build saves.
- If the branch is unavailable or the issue concerns DLC entitlement rather than mods, do not force a downgrade—check Owlcat's current support notice.

Community report is not a compatibility guarantee
The linked Steam thread is a player-reported loading/mod symptom. It cannot establish that the 1.5.0.320 branch fixes a different player's issue. Provide exact build, storefront, mod list and a reproducible symptom when asking for help.

- I did not apply Steam-specific steps to another storefront/console.
