Quest and loadout readiness checklist

Mark a step only after checking it in your own game. This checklist cannot see your platform account, lobby, quest board, hunter rank, expansion entitlement, or equipment box.

Before launching a hunt

5 checks remaining

Resolve the first unchecked item in-game. Village quests are the solo route; select a Hub Quest when hunting with other players.

This tool stores selections only in the current page session; nothing is sent to GamerWin and the checklist resets on reload. It does not recommend a meta build or verify unlocks.

Pick by session goal, not by star count

Rise separates quest counters and progression. The official Capcom manual describes Village quests as solo hunts and Hub quests as the multiplayer route. A quest's rank or target alone does not tell you whether it supports a group. Start by choosing whether the session is solo learning or a shared hunt, then use the relevant counter and the requirements displayed there.

Set up multiplayer as a separate step

Capcom's multiplayer manual describes the lobby as the place players gather before taking multiplayer content. Make sure everyone has joined the same intended lobby before accepting a Hub quest. This avoids a common false diagnosis: the quest itself may support co-op while a friend is simply not in the host's lobby or does not meet the displayed requirements.

  1. Agree on platform and installed game/version before starting; do not treat Nintendo Switch and Steam as one cross-play pool.
  2. Have the intended host create or join a lobby and check its join settings in the current UI.
  3. Invite or search for the other hunters using the platform's documented method; confirm their names appear in the lobby.
  4. Accept the Hub Quest from the Gathering Hub counter and read the quest's displayed rank and join conditions.
  5. If the quest fails to launch, record the exact prompt before changing account, network, or save settings.

Use an honest progression hand-off

The manuals document separate Village and Hub progress categories. Some routes can help a hunter reach later content faster, but rules and licenses depend on the precise quest progression and update. Use the Progress Guide and quest board in your copy as the deciding evidence instead of relying on a remembered shortcut from a different save or expansion state.

  1. Open the in-game Progress Guide and note the next listed Village and Hub objectives.
  2. Check for a Special License or urgent quest explicitly offered to bridge the route.
  3. Complete only the displayed requirement, then revisit the Hub counter and verify the rank actually advanced.
  4. Keep optional village clear progress separate in your notes from Hub rank; don't promise a particular rank unlock until your screen confirms it.

Worked example: solo today, co-op tomorrow

A new hunter wants to learn a weapon alone tonight, then join two friends tomorrow. Use Village quests for the solo practice, but stop before assuming that the same quest will become a multiplayer hunt. Tomorrow, join the friends' lobby, choose the corresponding eligible Hub quest, and confirm the displayed requirements with all three players. The independent check matters more than matching monster names.

Before you play

  • I selected Village for solo play or Hub for a multiplayer hunt.
  • The party is on a compatible platform and update.
  • The other hunters appear in the intended lobby.
  • We checked rank and quest eligibility from the actual quest board.
  • I recorded exact quest title/rank and platform before reporting a mismatch.

Frequently asked questions

Can friends join my Village quest?

Capcom's manual describes Village quests as solo-only. Choose an eligible Hub Quest for multiplayer.

Does clearing Village quests automatically make every Hub quest available?

Do not assume that. Check your installed game's Progress Guide, license/urgent quests, and Hub quest list for the actual prerequisite.

Can Switch and Steam players share a lobby?

This guide does not claim cross-platform play. Verify the current official platform-specific multiplayer information; the linked Steam manual is not a Switch guarantee.
