Build a useful repair order
- Confirm the current build includes the 1.19.4 repair-priority feature; check official hotfix notes if the UI differs.
- Open the Construction window and inspect the repair queue after damage occurs.
- Rank damaged buildings by the consequence of leaving them offline for your current plan—for example, a critical bottleneck versus a replaceable low-impact structure.
- Use the queue's manual reorder control to move the most consequential repairs ahead of lower-impact items.
- Keep new construction and repair needs visible; after another attack or territory change, review the order again instead of treating yesterday's queue as permanent.

Queue triage worksheet
| Priority question | Place higher when… | Caveat |
|---|---|---|
| Does it constrain a current supply/production plan? | Its absence blocks a critical planned action | The source does not define a universal priority formula |
| Is the area still exposed to damage? | You can protect it or its function is needed now | Reordering does not prevent new damage |
| Can the function be replaced elsewhere? | There is no practical substitute in the current state | A building's strategic value is campaign-specific |
| Did the patch/mod change the interface? | Use the live Construction window and current notes | Do not assume older screenshots map to this build |

Player discussion and scope
HOI4 community posts may assume different DLC, repair modifiers, country, war status or checksum. Use discussions to compare how players read the queue but verify the current game interface yourself. This guide does not estimate repair days, construction speed or battlefield survival.

Before you play
- I confirmed the feature is present in my build.
- I ranked repair targets by the current campaign consequence.
- I reordered repairs in the Construction window rather than guessing from an old screenshot.
- I reviewed the queue after new damage or changed priorities.
- I did not treat queue order as a guaranteed repair deadline.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the new repair priority queue?
Paradox's 1.19.4 changelog places it in the Construction window and says buildings can be manually moved in the queue.
Does moving a building higher guarantee it finishes by a specific date?
No. The feature changes priority order; the source does not promise a universal completion time.
Can the tool pick the best building to repair?
No. It helps structure your own triage; it cannot read the campaign or predict strategic outcomes.
