Read the blocked shelter's own requirement

  1. Select the shelter that is not upgrading and record its displayed tier, desirability value and any other unmet requirement in the current UI.
  2. Toggle the desirability overlay and identify whether the target house is within range of positive or negative buildings/decorations.
  3. Compare the housing tier's listed requirement against the displayed score; do not infer a hidden universal threshold from a different patch.
  4. Place or upgrade one appropriate positive structure and recheck the target house after the change registers.
  5. If desirability is already sufficient, investigate the other requirement shown by the shelter instead of stacking more decorations.

Confirm the result with a controlled town change

A building placement that looks close may not affect the intended shelter. Record before/after UI values and avoid changing several districts at once, so the cause stays legible.

  1. Note the target shelter and its starting displayed desirability.
  2. Make one reversible placement/upgrade and wait for the UI to update.
  3. Check whether this specific shelter's score and upgrade status changed.
  4. If not, undo or keep the structure for another reason and inspect range, negative influences and the other listed requirement.
  5. Use the Steam forum for reproducible questions, but verify the underlying mechanic against Crate's guide.

Before you play

  • I read the target shelter's own blocked requirement.
  • I checked the overlay/range around that specific home.
  • I did not expect duplicate service buildings to stack.
  • I tested one reversible change at a time.
  • I separated player reports from Crate's published mechanic.

Frequently asked questions

Does desirability affect every building?

Crate's guide says this mechanic impacts shelters; do not assume it changes every structure.

Will two identical service buildings double the bonus?

The guide says a shelter benefits from a service building's desirability only once; duplicate structures do not add another benefit.

Can GamerWin tell which tier my shelter should reach?

No. The worksheet cannot read the town or its current UI.
