Know which stash is at risk
Blizzard's Season 16 notice separates Ladder character transfer from Shared Stash handling. Classic/Expansion, Hardcore/standard and online partitions have distinct rows; do not move an item based on a friend's different partition.
| State in notice | Documented handling | Player action |
|---|---|---|
| Current Ladder character | Moves to its matching non-Ladder group at season end | Confirm destination mode before planning trade or play |
| Season 15 Shared Stash | Moves to a withdraw-only set for the next season window | Withdraw items you want before the notice's next replacement point |
| Older Season 14 withdraw-only tab | Replaced at the Season 15 rollover | Do not leave wanted items in the older tab |
| Different region or partition | Schedule/mode may differ | Check the account's region, mode and live server schedule |

Make a safe rollover inventory
The announcement's dates are time-zone specific and are scheduled for a future patch/season as of this review. Use the in-game stash labels and the current Blizzard post rather than relying on a forum countdown.
- Record region, Online/Offline, Classic/Expansion and Hardcore/standard for each character.
- Open the current Shared Stash and identify tabs marked withdraw-only/Past; note which season they belong to.
- Move wanted items into a destination the same character partition can access, checking capacity before the deadline.
- Confirm the item appears in the destination tab/character before closing the game.
- Recheck Blizzard's live Season 16 timing immediately before rollover; maintenance and regional schedule may change.
- Do not post account identifiers or an unredacted stash screenshot in public discussions.
