Use the announcement's own split instead of guessing from a patch number
The launch post says Badlands brings some things to the base game through Update 1.30, naming motorbikes, select firearms, reworked skins/assets and quality-of-life changes. It then separately presents Nasdara as the Badlands expansion's new terrain and describes heatstroke, silicosis, sandstorms, scarce water and rebuildable structures in that region.
This means seeing a general 1.30 update does not establish that the Badlands map entitlement is present. Conversely, the announcement identifies some new items as base-game changes, so their presence alone does not prove the player owns the expansion.
| What you are looking for | Official description | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Motorbikes, select firearms, reworked assets or general QoL | Named as examples of Update 1.30 additions to the base game | Platform-specific 1.30 notes and the installed build |
| Nasdara map/terrain | Named as the Badlands expansion's new terrain | Badlands product entitlement on the same platform/store and installed content |
| Heatstroke, silicosis, sandstorms and scarce-water survival | Described as dangers and systems in Nasdara | Confirm the map/region and matching platform patch; do not assume they apply everywhere |
| A feature appears in Steam notes but not console notes | The launch page links separate platform patch notes | Read the notes for your platform; Steam's version is not a console version |

Check the content boundary in four steps
Avoid buying an expansion just because the main game updated, and avoid reporting a missing map system as a broken base-game item until you have identified which content category the official notes place it in.
- Write the exact item, map or system name; 'new content is missing' is not specific enough to diagnose.
- If it is a general item such as a motorbike or one of the named firearms, compare it with the 1.30 platform patch notes and your installed version.
- If it is Nasdara or a desert-region survival system, check Badlands availability and ownership for the same platform/store; the local tool cannot verify entitlement.
- If platform notes disagree or the feature is still absent, capture the displayed build and exact location/steps, then use Bohemia's official support or Feedback Tracker.

The entitlement checker never looks up your account
The local form only compares the target you select with your self-reported Badlands ownership. It cannot connect to Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, a store account or the game; treat its result as a source-navigation reminder, not a purchase confirmation or entitlement lookup.

Check the platform-specific release record
The official Badlands launch post links separate Steam, Xbox/Microsoft Store and PlayStation update notes. The Steam Stable page checked here identifies version 1.30.164289 on November 3, 2026; the post also documents that the Nintendo Switch 2 release was planned for Q1 2027, so do not present it as already available on that platform as of this guide's November 6 check.

Before you play
- I named the exact item, terrain or system instead of saying only '1.30 content'.
- I separated general base-game update items from Nasdara and its regional systems.
- I checked the patch notes for my platform and compared the installed version.
- I verified DLC in my own platform store/account; the GamerWin tool cannot do that.
- I did not assume the announced Switch 2 release was already available on November 6, 2026.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need Badlands to get every Update 1.30 item?
The launch post explicitly names some 1.30 additions as base-game changes. Check the individual feature and platform patch notes; the update number alone does not prove expansion ownership is required.
Is Nasdara part of the base game?
Bohemia describes Nasdara as the new terrain built for the DayZ Badlands expansion.
Does the checker confirm I own Badlands?
No. It only uses the ownership answer you select and cannot access a store account, purchase record or installed files.
Can I use Steam 1.30.164289 as my console version?
No. That number is from Steam Stable notes. The official launch page links separate Xbox and PlayStation patch notes.
