Premier veto order card

The September 22, 2026 Valve update is the cited version. This tool does not choose maps or predict the random selection.

Pick sequence: Your side is Team 1: pick once, then wait while Team 2 picks twice, then make the final pick. One of four remaining maps is randomly selected. This is a dated sequence, not proof it remains unchanged. Check Valve's latest CS2 updates and compare the live Premier UI.

Read the official order as four picks plus a random result

The September 22 Valve notice says the purpose is to give players more opportunities to play maps they have been learning. It specifies which team acts at each pick. The final played map is randomly selected from the four that remain; neither team chooses it directly after the fourth pick.

Use the flow as a team communication checklist

The map-selection order tells you when to communicate preferences, not which map is strategically best. A team can discuss its comfort maps before queueing, but this source does not publish a per-map win-rate recommendation or disclose a guaranteed selection outcome.

  1. Before queueing, confirm the active map pool shown by the game; do not rely on an old pool screenshot.
  2. Identify which side is Team 1 and Team 2 once the selection UI opens.
  3. At each turn, state a reason for the pick (practice, comfort, or avoid) rather than assuming the random result.
  4. After Team 1's final selection, remember the match map is randomly chosen from the remaining four under the cited flow.
  5. If the UI order differs, stop and check a newer Valve update; do not assume a bug from an old post.

Check for a newer map-selection update

Premier rules can change independently of a guide's publication date. This page anchors the sequence to Valve's dated September 22, 2026 post and links to the live update archive. If Valve publishes a later selection change, that newer official source supersedes this description.

Ask players with enough context

If a party sees a different flow, report the date, region, queue type, game build and a sanitized screenshot. That lets other players distinguish a UI experiment or newer update from a misunderstanding; it still is not official confirmation.

  1. Record the date and visible build number.
  2. Name the queue (Premier) and the team's displayed pick sequence.
  3. Remove player IDs or private chat from screenshots before posting.
  4. Compare any reply against Valve's official update archive before treating it as a rule.

Before you play

  • I confirmed the currently displayed map pool.
  • I followed Team 1 → Team 2 → Team 2 → Team 1 in the dated source.
  • I checked for a newer Valve update and did not claim to predict the random map.

Frequently asked questions

Does Team 1 choose the final played map?

Not in Valve's September 22, 2026 description: after four picks, one of the four is randomly selected.

Does this say which maps my team should pick?

No. It records the pick order only; it contains no map win-rate or team-skill analysis.

  1. Counter-Strike 2 update: Premier map selection (September 22, 2026) (Official)

Valve's official update checked November 6, 2026. It describes the Premier selection order as Team 1 picks one map, Team 2 picks two, Team 1 picks the final map, then one of the four is randomly selected. Later updates can replace this process.
